I'm not saying he's telling the full truth, but, he's saying (1) I thought the war was a bad idea and tried to talk the administration out of it; (2) I offered an alternative to Bush of trying to bring about change in the Iraqi regime through deplomacy inside and outside the UN before using force; (3) those efforts failed, so we went to war; (4) I did not resign in protest because that's not my style and because it would not have stopped the war.

Powell was a carry over from the Clinton Administration into GW Bush's. I read in a book that at the first meeting of Bush's top brass (early 2001), Powell was a little late showing up. With the rest of GW Bush's cronies sitting around the boardroom table, Bush heard Powell approaching in the corridor. He then locked Powell out of the room. Powell knocked & Bush let him in. They all laughed, but it was more than a practical joke. Bush was letting Powell know who's boss.

3,Time I knew when this planet earth the population we had then just over
four billion, today the population nearly seven billion none of us look
axactly the same thinking the same it just like our own left hand four
fingers and thum same to right hand, none of the finger look the same
not event finger print look the same. but it only when we bridge cross

Bush came into office with an Iraq war on his agenda. There was ZERO threat from Iraq, there was not ONE Iraqi on any of the planes during the attack of 9/11. This was an oil fueled war. There is a reason gas prices were driven so high. Dick Cheney used to be the CEO of Halliburton. Seriously, if you can't make these connections, you need to turn off Fox propoganda "news" and start researching for yourself.

i remember right before the iraq war, and thinking powell's body languge spoke volumes about his unliking for the war. honestly, he didnt even come off so convincingly at all. like he was going through the motions or something. no wonder probably, i DONT understand how such a sensible man could work for guy such as G W B
