the reason for the lag you see is becuase of fraps so dont say stuff like "EW LAG!!!"

yeah but you can unplug and take of a desktop so easy like a notebook ? i guess note.. you can move your notebook to your room on college ? i guess not... you can make lans in seconds just plug the power cord to the power and puft... lan house is maded via wireless... dude desktop suck my notebook i can play crisis on ultra high resolution 1900x1200 full hd and the fps are solid 28 to 35 full fight scenes come to 25 but never drop below it

yeah and i can play it at about 55fps, ultra high settings, 720p, and i guarrantee that you payed more for your laptop than my fx desktop, and the only diff other than mine performs better, is your whole mobility issue

I play 1080P on my notebook and yeah i payed more cause i can so ? i not saying about the price i saying about the performance and my notebook can play any game at 1080p or 1900x1200 whit good fps even online. Yeah i have a desktop too cost me $9500 was buyed on newegg whit 2x quad core cpus on a skulltrail motherboard and 2x asus 4870x2 in quad crossfire and yeah this pc was my dream comming true but every penny i put on this pc was compensate on performance inot only a gamer i use to studio to

nah i know the limitations of notebooks but dude my notebook the only bad thing is battery and they can do equal any desktop that what i mean.. he is really a desktop replacement.. still the battery u must understand that is impossible have so much charge to a notebook whit a 3,0ghz quad core and two 9800m gtx but i recommend this note if you have $6000 to expend to any gamer or studio worker cause he can do anything good as a desktop some times better...

I just got the Gateway P-6860 FX.Yeah yeah I know the P-173X FX is king now and is awesome.But I got it for just lil over $700,half the price w/ 8800M GTS.

is this better than a toshiba x205 cause i researched both of em and only major differences is that gateway fx has a 8800m and toshiba has 8600 but they're about same price which is better? the gateway i researched was a p-172s not sure if its this one in the video

fraps recording screws up the framerate just so u kno. its not really a good way of what this notebook can do. good job tho.

I returned this laptop because the 6860 FX came in to BB by my house. I am going to buy that one once the credit refund makes it's way to my bank. It'll kick this ones ass in benchmarks.

Oh, and HL2 was at 1024x768 because I was retarded and didn't notice you can change the screen to 16;10 and then it gives you more resolution options.

I avoided a $200+ restocking fee thanks to the fact that this laptops HDD was having a clicking problem that a lot of WD scorpio HDD's have

And why are you only running HL2 in 1024x768, you should be able to max this game at full res with your specifications. I can with a Geforce Go 7300, the shittest mobile card ever :P

@cyclist14 u can make it smooth HOW? first turn on fraps and then look at the FPS counter what ever the counter sez right it down sum wher then go to the fraps menu click movies the look for the dots that say 25 30 50 60fps then under the 60fps dot thes a custom fps put in the fps the game put out not recording get it? it worket for me

I agree the games run a hell of a lot faster I have the gate fx myself mines is the gateway fx p-172s its is allthat I can max all my games I get 45 fps in crysis at 1024x768 62 in doom3 and about 60 in Kayne and lynch this is an awesome laptop would recommend for anyone thanks for the vid.
