  • cool. it's from the book 'love and other impossible pursuits'. I just read that a couple of months ago, not very interesting though :(

  • I'm so confused.

  • DISCUSTING MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What is the song playing the In the background?

  • @adellutza: i agree with u!!

  • Comment removed

  • @adellutza What kind of backwoods, ancient, misogynistic thinking is that? Be 'wonderful' for your man to keep him and don't give him reasons to cheat? How about find a different fucking husband who doesn't fucking cheat?

  • Comment removed

  • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE. I was told like 500 time that he cheated... Thank you. I got it. Lol.

  • @ElissaLovesRock it's because your comment is the top comment, lol. so people read it and immediately reply without knowing that you already got the memo :P

  • @satinsolstice I figure that out. lol

  • I was really into the story until I saw Phoebe...after that I just saw everything like a comedy :/

  • Scott Cohen back from obscurity. Or is he?

  • I loved this movie anything with natalie portman is always worth watching

  • Blondie would have gotten an ass beaten

  • the adultery was in the beginning. he divorced his wife for the other woman, not before he met her.

  • i think i just saw all the movie by watching the trailer -_-

  • @goingplaces11 and @TheEthereallotus argue like two old divorce couples. Lol

  • the song at the end?

  • fuckin hell i am over these soughts of movies!! there so lame and gay!

  • Marriage is a lifetime commital to your spouse.

  • adultery happens...... people outgrow eachother.........life isnt always a bowl of cherries and when all is said and done, divorce isnt about not understanding your spouse.. its about FINALLY understanding eachother and moving on....

  • @TheEthereallotus Adultery should never happen. A person should be strong enough to divorce their spouse before beginning another relationship. That's the LEAST a married person can do, when they know they will be the cause of broken hearts and promises. IT's the least that person SHOULD do.

  • @goingplaces11 unfortunately, this is a human matter... and as humans are not perfect, this will keep happening...... adultery is a fact of life...

  • @TheEthereallotus So are murder and suicide, they are facts of life. None of them are something to be proud of and accept, neither is breaking a home and break a relationship. You may be infatuated maybe even in love but that does not give you the free pass to pursue someone who is married. It's more admirable if things are sooo bad in a marriage that the person divorces and then scouts for company.

  • @goingplaces11 i agree... it is more admirable to divorce first....But sadly, its often the case that people dont divorce first....

also, its not only men who cheat.... divorce is usually about a couple finally knowing who their spouse is and realizing they cant live with it forever... Marriage is an imperfect, man made institution...

  • @TheEthereallotus Marriage IS imperfect. We need to get ourselves in that frame of mind. Marriage takes a LOT, I mean, a LOT of compromising, saying sorry, making it up to someone. It's like any other partnership. Even in business, you work mainly by compromising. Sometimes, you hate the person. Sometimes people, who get divorced are generally people who didn't really get to know one another well enough. they may have thought they knew each other well.

  • @TheEthereallotus Marriage is a man made institution just as "freedom", "democracy", "independence", " treatment of equality" are. They are based on IDEALS. Marriage is based on an ideal:That two people will stick it out and fight the world TOGETHER. The ideal that you will not walk the planet alone; you are safe, secure, and happy. It's based on the ideal that someone else will look out for you. Marriage is man made but so are lots of other ideals in world.

  • @goingplaces11 freedom and independence are god given... we are born free and independent... that we are not at any given time is illusion

  • @TheEthereallotus God does not exist for many. Have you seen the history of mankind? Freedom has never truly existed. Never. You are told and taught ot believe that what you currently have is called freedom, but that's not pure freedom is it? If according to you, we ought to live naturally then we should kill murder and rape anything so long as it benefits us to do so. There are ideals and rules that are MAN made not God made, that should be upheld and lived up to.

  • Totally speaks toward karma...

  • @goingplaces11 love isnt subject to karma

  • @TheEthereallotus Why are you the author of karma? Karma is you get in return full force what you began. Love is based on honesty, faithfulness. In this movie this relationship she initiated was based on lust and urge....not love. Love is pure and faultless. It makes on lookers' hearts melt. Lust is greed and selfishness. Their relationship was based on lust and giving the misnomer love. Seems like you understand the other woman very well.....Were you once?

  • @goingplaces11 Are you ready to lay down judgment if I was? People fall in love with people who arent thier spouse everyday.. Why? Because they are not in love with thier spouse. Where love is lacking, humans will go in search somewhere else. Married or not

  • @TheEthereallotus I'm not laying judgement, but on the other hand, I don't think you should raise your post as someone who has done something right. At the time people get married they are in love. The love exists even after it gets battered. That's what love is about. Just because you stepped in as a new shiny object doesn't reduce that history or their love. The lack of love takes two to tango. If the person feels it's lacking then, he too is lacking in some measure.

  • Natalie Portman, Lisa Kudrow and Scott Cohen in ONE movie???? I've got to see it...

  • seen it all in the trailer saved me from 2hrs of a soso film

  • IM WATCHING THIS AND CHILLS IS GOING UP MY SPINE. THIS MAKES MY STOMACH SICK THERE'S NOTHING BEUTIFUL ABOUT THIS MOVIE. YES MARRIAGE IS HARD YES MARRIAGE MAKES YOU WANT TO KILL YOURSELF SOMETIMES. BUT YOU DONT GIVE UP YOU DONT FAIL AT ANY THATS SO BEAUTIFUL AND FRAGILE. AND WHO EVER BELIEVES IT IS WRONG TO SLEEP WITH ANY OTHER WOMANS HUSBAND OR A MANS WIFE. I REALLY WISHED I NEVER WATCHED THIS TRAILER!!!! GOD I HATE IT THAT I DID

  • @orphsn0728 obviously, your wounded..... a little advice... move on and realize its not only about you

  • Why is this even coming up in my recommended videos, for starters?

  • Uhhh there is no adultery... he is a divorced dad who remarried. I think its named The Other Woman because its about being a stepmother

  • @NewScotlandBlues Yeah exactly and heck , they coulden't name the movie Stepmom cause that already existed gosh

  • @NewScotlandBlues Unfortunately, he did sleep with her before he divorced. The movie does not promote adultery. It's about how Emilia deals with being "the other woman" and how she deals with the death of her daughter. It's actually a pretty good movie, and the acting is excellent.

  • ''Why is she dead?''

Maybe because karma's fucking you up for fucking up a happy family , hoe.

  • I'm confused.... What was the adultry? It looked like the man had a divorce, met Natalie, married natalie, had a baby with her, baby died, natalie had a hard time losing the baby and took it out on the stepson, she realized her mistakes and fixed it... That all I saw...

  • @ElissaLovesRock i agree.

  • @ElissaLovesRock

Hmmm, that's all I saw too. People are so quick to call hoe, whore, slut and everything without getting their facts in check.....Oh, I forgot this is YouTube we are talking about here. People just jump in head first without doing their fact checking and homework....Dumb.

  • @ElissaLovesRock he cheated on her and then (!) divorced his wife. That covers the adultry part.

  • @ElissaLovesRock

In the beginning of the clip where he says to Natalie's character that he'd never done this before, and he doesn't want to hurt his wife. Watch it again.

  • @ElissaLovesRock That's about right.

  • Comment removed

  • @ElissaLovesRock I'd have to say it's the part around 0:11 where he says he's married. So I'm guessing she's the home-wrecker?

  • @ElissaLovesRock The adultry was the fact that He cheated on his wife Lisa with Natalie and Im pretty sure she was pregnant with his baby before he divorced

  • I could swear I once read a trashy romance novel with the same story line as this.

  • That's funny.... cuz Natalie Portman's been the other woman in real life... a few times.

    Art mimics life!!

  • @hyeinee wow seriously? So much for morals. =/

  • i hate that this film is like trying to promote sympathy for "the other woman" thats awful! a woman who knowingly gets involved with a man who is married and doesnt give one thought to how morally corrupt she is or how much pain she will be causing cuz all she can think about is herself thats so selfish and upsetting. theres a part of me that really wants to see this film and another part that cant

  • @0PrettyReckless feeling exactly the same.

  • @dudelsackpfeife of course not.. but hollywood is sending a negative message... we dont need another adultry movie.. what's the point... it seems hollywood has nothing to show anymore and there just putting ideas in a fish bowl and picking out a title and making a movie...

  • yay for estranging children from their momssss?

  • I'll be suprised if I don't get hated on for this comment but...surely sometimes, even though it is wrong, you have to be selfish in life..."You live once, so make it the best damn life you can" right?

That said, now relating to the movie, man thinks he has found a better lover, the decent thing to do would be to end his current relationship before things go further, but for himself he may not be sure so he makes sure first before ending the relationship so he can still go either way he prefers?

  • @esuomz I guess it doesn't quite relate to the movie since the man is married... or would it still be so wrong to wanna make a better life? I've been cheated on with my 2 year girlfriend that ran off with one of my best friends, everything seemed fine and happy... shocked me for sure. But hell, she's happy and been with 'the other guy' year and a half nearly, so good for her. I found someone 4 months ago and couldn't be happier... the butterfly effect ;)

  • No Other WOman is better. Search it. It's a Filipino film

  • the tittle doesn't fit the movie

  • i feel like i watched the whole movie

  • Movie looks good very similar to stepmom with Julia Roberts

  • Phoebe!!!!!

  • @fairiedepp every time i see her in anything other than friends i immediately think " PHOEBE " and half expect her to act the same way she does on the show lol

  • @extraordinariax I know! I'm like"just sing Smelly Cat already, Phoebs!"

  • oh great another movie that promotes adultry. Way to go hollywood you bunch of fuck ups.

  • @rafatabb lolll hey thats just what i was thinking and then i read your post...

  • @rafatabb that's what i said

  • @rafatabb I guess you intend movies just like Walt Disney did

  • everything we do is a choice, people who say that it was noones fault are stupid, they chose to cheat, she chose to go along with it...if you're married to someone and you don't love them, divorce, never cheat..if you meet someone who makes you realise you don't love your husband/wife, divorce them..as much as it hurts, i'd much rather have a divorce and deal with that than have a divorce and deal with a cheating ex. it's cruel and wrong. you can control urges and people who cheat have no morals

  • @thecookiemonsta100 you are so simple minded i almost pity you

  • @nataliaeban haha it's funny, i pity you for writing an insult to me that i really don't care about. The comment i wrote is my opinion and my belief, i don't need some keyboard warrior telling me that i'm ridiculous...i know i'd much rather divorce someone than cheat on them and cause them more hurt. I respect your opinion, you respect mine, simple as that.

  • @thecookiemonsta100 I love what you wrote. Yes, if you don't love someone anymore. Divorce them and tell them fair and square in a mature way instead of backstabbing them like that. Just because you don't love them anymore, you cannot show respect and have them not at least lose their dignity? Knowing that you cheated on them and came home to them and kissed them and what not as if everything was fine?

  • @thecookiemonsta100 I agree with you! But some people think is ok to cheat on your husband/wife when its not okay cause you break that trust, that accountability you had and he/she just threw it to the trash. That's sad! Why not tell her/him in their faces that they don't feel the same way and not cheating on them.

  • ohh, Fibi

  • I cried with the trailer... i cant watch the movie...

  • where can i watch this movie?

  • so i just looked at like 80 page of comments and noone say if this movie is good or not lol just a lot of contraversy

  • I totally agree with 8sakuraleaf9. I think it is so funny how we try too hard to justify the wrong things we do instead of accepting the fact that they are wrong. We are rational beings with free will which differentiate us from other lower beings. So whatever decisions we made will be our sole responsibility. Think using upstair and not downstair and you can call yourself human.

  • What the hell is wrong with people with trying to make cheating and ruining a happy family sound okay by saying "Oh, if the roles were reversed..she would do the same" What the F? If this were my son, I wouldn't let that woman get near him ever again after screaming at him like that. Even I hardly feel sorry for her loosing her baby. You destroyed someone else's happiness...guess what...what goes around, comes around.

  • its the people who love you youre the hardest on>.>

why is it like that???? so true. so he cheats, divorces his wife, marries the other woman, they have a baby and the baby dies? theres a word for that.

  • @fANNAsiZe errrrr karma?

  • @xHaniffax i think so!

  • I haven't seen the move, but honestly, no matter how "inspiring" the ending might be, it just plain hurts to think that you will marry a man, have a kid, build your life together and it'll all end in a few moments. After that... you're now welcome anymore.

  • phoebe!! smelly cat! I<3 you!

  • What a horrible title.

  • @lumacetate I guess a lot of people agreed so they changed the title to "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits"

  • We cannot help who we fall in love with! It is not anyone's fault for acting out on their human impulses. I know how difficult it is to be in love with someone you cannot be with, and I owe the other woman nothing. She'd do the same thing with my husband if the roles were reversed.

  • @Crissie0911 we are not animals. we are able to control our urges. so your excuse for screwing a married guy is that in a parallel universe maybe his wife would sleep with your husband? what the hell is wrong with you? not only are you trying to make a wrong thing sound right..but you are also trying to take the other person down with you. you have some VERY serious issues. you may be stuck being in the animal phase, but not all of us are. it is called evolution. try to keep up.

  • Phoebe! From F.R.I.E.N.D.S! I love her!

  • whats the song playing at the end?

  • @omfgimagirl Josh Ritter: Change of time

  • @LittleKikuyu No, but the name of this movie isn't "The Married Man" is it? My opinion was based on what this video is actually about.

  • @TrixieRix If this movie was about a man falling in love with someones wife, i very much doubt you would have made this remark about him.

  • @Ytubewanker Honey, you are surely mistaken. I have been married and been cheated on. If you think I would have sympathy for a married, cheating man you are kidding yourself. You know what happens when you assume things...As a woman, however, I can only identify with her. And as a woman, I can never see myself doing that to another woman and then feeling bad at how my life didn't turn out rosy.

You can call it reaping what you sow, karma or what goes around comes around.

  • @TrixieRix I didn't say a married man cheating, i meant you probably wouldn't say that about a single man that falls in love with a married woman.

  • why does it say its a 2011 movie??

  • i love you so much natalie<3

  • Absolutely shocking film. Does marriage mean nothing?? So upsetting

  • I'm sorry it is sad but she knew he was married and she slept with him. She has no respect for the institution of marriage of for her own bloody sex but worst than her is the guy. Your marriage is failing, it sad but screwing a younger woman is shameless. At least have the decency to divorce her first. I am intrested in the moral dilemma of this film but I can't help but ask what happened to the films that teach us a moral lesson at the end of it

  • Well, it'll be popular with the home-wrecking crowd.

I'm all for people find their true love and happiness, but if you're unhappy in your marriage, get out of it before you sleep around.

  • OMG PHOEBE

  • so...this is basically teaching us how to steal an older woman's life, marriage, kid, when we're young and beautiful and look like natalie portman, but most importantly, find some time to whine about it. lovely. no, wait a second, that's actually rather revolting.

  • A boy does not have self respect if he cheats on his wife. He no longer owns his title of a man.

  • IF A MAN CHEATS ON HIS WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND IT IS HER THAT IS THE PROBLEM AND SHE NEEDS TO FIND OUT #justsaying...

  • @TheeDuffyRose Woah. You could not be more wrong. You've obviously never had a real boyfriend. I really hope one of them breaks your heart someday.

  • @Sei1863 OHH SERIOUSLY... CAN YOU NOT SEE THE POINT OF THIS FILM ITS LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE MY opinion simple.. i see no reason for you to jump on my relationship status please don't be offended because it just sounds like you've been left for the OTHER ONE!

  • This is just fucked up!!!! I do not like men who cheat .... I do not know one man that is faithful ....

  • @Lucas260109 my guy is hehehhehehe

  • but WHY would a man cheat on his wife? a normal man, who's perfectly happy with his woman would never go looking on a side. so i think very often it is also the fault of "the wife" for example when she's letting herself go or not paying attention to her husband, etc.

  • I agree with you keppliexd... cant blame someone who will fall to a married man we just a human we dont kill anyone we dont steal anything people judge other woman you think they not fucking around when there husbands away for bussiness trip come on guys no give a shit ...

  • i actually cried because of this movie....and im a guy

  • No matter what a people has done in their life I can always forgive whatever they do if they lose a baby.

    People are never same.

You can't help who you fall in love with. It was so obvious, he diddn't love his wife, thus he shouldn't have to live the rest of his life unhappy.

She diddn't steal anybody, she diddn't steal a married man, he did on his own right.

This happens in real life, so shut up everybody, because who knows, it may be you one day.

  • @KeppiexD she says she is okay with him being married, so yes she did steal a married man. She even has the audacity to scream at a child who's live she did ruin.

And she deserves what happened to her if not more. Oh, if this were to happen to me...I would cry for a few weeks and go on with my life and find someone else instead of being the bitch who ruined another woman's happiness.

How about you shut up. Hope your husband leaves you one day. Seems to me you would be okay with it.

  • @8sakuraleaf9 You dumb girl, woman kid whatsoever.. its fuking mutual. Its not like stealing a cellphone, he actually cheated on his wife while she is no married THAT IS BAD! Just case you say im married and a prostitute dont mind it doesn't mean its he fault WTF is wrong with you ?

  • @DbozenD What the fuck is wrong with you? Have you smoked too much weed? Learn grammer...basic spelling and some freaking manners, bitch. I am wrong for thinking it is wrong to cheat? How dare you?

  • we miss phoebe :)

  • Last year on November 14 I gave birth to a stillborn child who weighed 5lb 6oz. She was larger than my ex-husband living child at birth. To hear all the focus on the fact she was the other woman and ignore the pain of this movie. Even God forgave David. Who are we to judge? I wish you all would look up the statistics on late term stillbirths and SIDS. That is what the real focus should be on and will be for all of us who have suffered.

  • @daisymay077 Thank you for sharing that.

  • She stole another woman's husband. What a b--ch. And that guy's a coward and a liar for giving in to her seduction. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for all the hardship they apparently go through in this movie.

  • I really don't understand why it's always the woman's fault...it's him the one who's married!

  • @marmotta26 And the woman could have some selfrespect (and respect for the other woman) to not go through with it. BOTH are wrong.

  • @JazmnLove I'm sorry...I don't see it that way...if she falls in love with him, she has the right to go through with it, because she's not married. It's his choice: break the promise he made to his wife and be with the new woman or stay married. Simple. I can't see way it always seems to be the woman who steal the man to the other woman, like he has no choice.

  • @marmotta26 Why do you keep going on and on about the man? no one is saying the he is innocent, he is also wrong. It comes al down to respect.

  • @JazmnLove I'm not going on and on, just explaining myself and the reason why I think she is not to be blamed.

  • the one in the realtionship is the one to make the choice, and to be held responsible for it...

  • @marmotta26 It doesn't matter whose fault is it, it's just a matter of integrity in my opinion.

  • @Stananalol I think the point is how we consider marriage. To me, the man and woman involved are the ones who have to respect it no matter what, because they decided to make a promise. The remaining single people of the world, they didn't promise anything. I know it's not standard, but it's how I see things.

  • @marmotta26 I still think the most important things we have in this world are our word and our integrity, and that goes for single people too. And no offense but if you think otherwise then I feel sorry for you.

  • @Stananalol none taken, I don't feel sorry at all XD

  • @marmotta26 it take two to tango, I think its both parties fault. The homewrecker shoud know better as a women. i'm pretty sure she would not want that to happen to her.and men are idiots.

  • @akk285 as you said, she would not want that to happen to her but do you think the other woman would act differently if the roles were reversed? I don't think so

  • @marmotta26 because the woman is in control. she has the power to prevent the affair.

  • @drkthms7 and he has not this power....?

  • @marmotta26 It is not the same. A woman has a greater power to seduce a man. This power of seduction can be through appearance or psychological. She controls him even when he attempts to resist.

  • @drkthms7 no offense....but what a poor excuse for a man cheating on his wife!

  • @marmotta26 I think you give men way to much credit for having impulse control. Humans are not so unique. We are slaves to our biological drives.

  • @drkthms7 thats bullshits

  • @BOOZEHOUNDD And yet you cared enough to reply. People who honestly did't care, ignored me.

  • Women are always harsher on other women. I like how no one bothers to blame the guy.

  • hahha a cheating husband? how shocking

  • tip for hollywood acting, learn how to cry and everything else will follow naturally

  • i saw this ,ovie its pretty good ill just say i cried at the end

  • It takes two to tango! Nice movie.

  • I think that due to my step father raising me I know what a good man is. He watched me grow, he watched me graduated, he protected me, he taught me values and he had a traditional sense, in which, many men now a days don't have. It would be the husband at fault the most, but it's the women who turn against each other, when they should be looking at the man, promising them both something. This movie is just being one sided, and all about the other woman. they should do it one both women.

  • Also, everyone makes the married woman the victim more like it! That's true. Personally I haven't seen the film, and I plan on it. Just because to parents who share the same children, don't always end up together, and that because both of the partners. This is why some women or men don't leave abusive relationships. However, I would. My step father isn't my real dad, but he raised me and my real dad didn't even treat my mom good. It was my step father (who is my dad) that stopped all that.

  • I think people shouldn't judge the other woman, because you never know what's going on in that marrigae. However, I would find it wrong if a woman ruined a good marriage. If both parents, aren't together, and are not in love, than how would it be wrong. Trust me, my ex cheatted on me and I left him. I don't want him back! The girl wasn't even nice and didn't care. However, karma always comes back around. relationships are complex in many ways. No one can say what either one went through.

  • @Jimalax11 She willingly took part in the dissolution of a marriage and a family and now she's sad she can't have one of her own...it's more funny than sad. He is way more at fault but she certainly gets some blame. No one feels sorry for a cheater who gets expelled from school. You made your bed, now lay in it.

  • @TrixieRix lol i know right?!.i'm not exactly sure what people are smoking, when they say she's done nothing wrong, that's just the way it is or my favorite we shouldn't judge her.if you mess around with married people and vice versea then your pathetic.i only felt bad when her baby died.and that's about as good as it gets.

  • Can't help but feel sorry for the woman who had her husband AND her child stolen from her. Sure, make the SLUT a victim...

  • only Hollywood could glamorize the slutty woman having a great life.seriously,if this was my dad i think i might tell him AND her to go to hell.

  • @bluedreamer5000

I'm disagree with you! I don't think that glamorize "slutty woman" but I think that show a different point of view i would say that the normal life it is, you know ? All stepwomen are sluts ... I'm not saying break a wedding is normal but nowadays they are a lot of stepfamilies and this movie shows how these families survive

    Sorry for mistakes I'm french

  • @AnneSophie971 lol okay 1-i NEVER said ALL step mom's were sluts. i didn't even saying anything about step mom's so yeah. and 2-if you were messing around with a married man, then your trash.there's no sweet way to put it.that goes for the man as well.this movie pisses me off because they sugar coat the issues.this type of situation happens once in a blue moon.when people cheat,it affects the whole family.this movie makes it look easy and some what okay to do.WHICH IT ISN'T.

  • Josh Ritter - Change of Time (Time And Love) is the song @1:31

  • i love natalie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
