well, fyi, right now it's hard to find an i7 920 because they stopped making those already, and same with a gtx 260. but if you were to build the same setup again this year it'll still be a pretty beastly machine. you might find that upgrading to a gtx 460 would not cost much as they both range around 170 - 240 dollars. and the i7 920 is replaced by the i7 930, for a reasonably similar price.

I've been planning to seriously upgrade my ancient PC (Well basically upgrade everything in it) And what i already had planned out is very similar to what you have here.

Just a few questions.

6 Gigs of ram? Is that really necessary? I think the most I could get would be 4. I can only have 2 ram sticks in my PC

If I were to upgrade it all piece by piece what are the steps I should upgrade it on? I was thinking of upgrading the processor first. But I think I should upgrade the power supply.

@plutigvid if you can fit more ram in it the first thing to do is update your motherboard cpu and ram.. there your main things you need. then later on add a power supply and a graphics card. you need a decent power supply for everything and the graphics card..

LOL. Yeah the side panel fan was stopped in the vid. I later ealised the power cabels for the gfx card were stuck in it stopping it from spinning. I rectified that later XD

yeah will be fine unless your running alot of fancy stuff like lights ect.. mobo dont take much watts gpu takes fair bit of amps and watts... i got another computer with 9800gt and quad core running off a stock 500 watt powersupply that came with the case

i have a antec 900 case bro.. i drilled holes for wire management panted the inside of my case a matt black took my blue neons out and gave them to bedcrf450r and then put some UV neons on and it looks heaps sick
