I once saw my seniors build a remote control race car, with bigger tires, which will make it move even faster, and they use 2 brains. One for the race car, and one for the remote. On the remote, the used a lot of touch sensors. I'm very impressed by their race cars and also the one in this video. Keep it up! :D

I do, the problem is that it won't move, I have the .rbt installed, the motors and the touch sensor wired right, and it still won't move. I believe that there is a fault with either the download or the program.

@fallencommaner : You want 5ButtonSteer on the car and 5ButtonRemote on the remote. See instructions after the Programming section on the 5 Button Remote Control project.

hey u guys i just made the 1.0 into 2.0. i'll tell u how i did it u need to download the latest ver. if u hav the nxt 2.0 kit if u downloaded the software goto "tool" then update firmware you'll see 1.28 for the latest firmware click check goto firmware you'll see 1.29 just follow the instrutions

turning on faster speeds than 40% is pretty crappy, i completed this with few little modifications using 9797 and 9648 nxt lego mindstorms kits + another 9797 brain/head . i would like to see one what has like usual remote control what most of wireless cars have, forward and backwards with 2 button sensors and steering with wheel ;) i may build it but never program it i think.

I finished the bot and its steering thing and every time i try to upload it to the next it comes up with "Error: The program is broken it may be missing files" i have download the same program about 5 times and used 2 different computers and it still doesnt work what do i do?

yes it can be built but will be different color and if you useing rechargeable pack move the nxt up and dotn put the back design such as the lights.if you want it to go fast put the skinny wheels on it.

@sadfasdfization You need to make sure the front wheels are straight before you run the programs. You can adjust them with the black knob wheel on the steering motor hub. But it is hard to get it totally straight because of the gear slop, so it takes some practice and some luck.

@legogunz Yes, using the nxt-remote program (see Forklift project for info), but the steering will be kind of tedious/difficult. You can't really steer using the built-in NXT 2.0 software remote because you can't easily reverse the 3rd motor.
