  • Wow that gave me goose bumps all over!

  • Super

  • i spent an often tumultuous - always fucking weird and interesting - year of my life in New Orleans. Kermit Ruffins is in tight, but tough contention with a few other things to be my favorite thing about the city. For my 26th birthday, someone shouted "It's this kid's birthday!" and he dragged me on stage in front of a packed Blue Nile and played me happy birthday. If you spend one night in that city plan it around a Kermit Ruffins show.

  • @mbjacobs DAMN straight! His shows were the highlight of an insane week down there for me. Vaughan's was awesome and Kermit's sound was amazing. I want to win the lottery for no other reason other than to higher these guys to do a show.

  • una joya !!!

  • in victorian england this song was about syphilis and hookers... when it moved to the u.s. in the early part of the 20th century, it was about gambling, philandering, and boozing it up.

  • She never finds a trumpet player like me...Love this!!!..:-)

  • Oh man, I'm so glad I saw Treme and got introduced to this guy. I love this type of jazz, I would love to see him live.

  • Thank you treme for introducing me to this guy!

  • nice to see him and rebirth workin together again even if it is just for a tv show

  • That is amazing, Brilliant wah he's got going on there ;) is that still classed as a plunger mute? because it doesn't look like one... it's very interesting, does anyone know what sort of a mute that is?

  • One of the coolest I've ever seen. Happy Mardi Gras!

  • way to go, kermi!t

  • Hey Kermit. Remember me? I use to sing at Donna's on Saturday nights after your show. Glad to here of your success.

  • Very nice; powerful indeed. I am not from Nola, the culture (music, food, etc.) is quniessential to American life. I want to experience NOLA.

  • Not any more ya don't!

And I am one who "Knows what it Means, to miss New Awleens"

    My D'awlin', N' awlin.

May she rest in peace before the mobs and the whores relegate her to Las Vegas East. Let the levee's have their revenge on the easy, greasy, "not from here" sleazy Yankee Bastard Douche-bag press.

  • the trumpet made me orgasm in my pants. really. I suppose that means its a good thing that I CAN'T play like that...

But I still want to anyways. It would make live performances awkward, but whatever.

  • Good lord, that trumpet is mesmerizing!!!

  • nice!

  • I dug it deep

  • It was awesome but the vocals. But then again there can be no other Cab Calloway. Still he could've done better.
