  • Solid job mate

  • That cured my insomia thanks

  • what no singing your playing is still awsome though i love the song so much i could hear the words in my head

  • wow i play it way different thatn you do

    still sounds good though

  • sing

  • like the strumming style

  • well, it isnt better then the original, nor is it worse, just diffrent..i like it

  • pretty good

  • Great job

  • Intro is awesome

  • /agree. I kinda like this version, because it is so low and kinda calming, I think.

  • good.

  • The song is played with power chords WITHOUT a Kapo, nice try though.

  • Damn, it's a good thing you were here to tell him that, being that you have a lot of expertise in the matter. WTF is a Kapo? Is it just like a Capo, only difference being that it's NOT to be used in this song?

  • It doesnt even matter. The point of a cover isnt to mock someone elses playing... Your supposed to make it your own.

    INDIVIDUAL!

I think he did very good and i thought the sounds wwas amazing.

So it doesnt matter if he use's capo's.. yes i spelt it with a "C" haha...

  • Read about this video - "MY RENDITION" not COVER. lul noob.

  • i hate when kids come to me and say "you played that bit wrong" ????? ermm...... no i didnt, i played it just how i wanted to!!!

  • Thats one of the best things I've heard on here. These people who say your playing it wrong are just proving that they know nothing about music and how it is an art that it meant to use ones creativity. Any way... it just really urks me when people say that.

  • teach me some

  • nice. what's your strumming pattern in the song?

  • u cn play the shit out ov that wounderfull instrument

  • Sounds very nice. Add some singing?

  • i also taught myself. i can easily respect this. good work.

  • Which chords do you use?

  • I put the capo on the 3rd fret and the basic chord progression is E,D,G,(F#)transition back to the E. When I get to the "stand me up at the gates of hell" part I toss in a C and then go back to the E,D,G

  • Very cool. Yes, do Learning To Fly sometime when you have time.

  • Thx. Check out an earlier post of Learning to Fly...I performed a short version with my daughter. Working on a acoustic version that is more stylized.

  • Wow nice hand strumming I agree do more Petty

  • Cool. Pls do more Petty!

  • Kicks ass man post some more petty for sure

  • that was really good! do you have the tab for this!?!?

  • Not really. Made it up as I was going along. Not even quite sure of the proper names of the chords. I put the capo on the 3rd fret and the basic chord progression is E,D,G,(F#)transition back to the E. When I get to the "stand me up at the gates of hell" part I toss in a C and then go back to the E,D,G Hope this helps.

  • Very nice. I was able to sing along with it! Thanks.

  • Awesome...Good conception

  • i love this version!

  • good job

  • very nice. I'm just learning the guitar...my first instrument...lots of work ahead of me....

  • Thx. Beginner myself.

  • C'mon, Your right hand is way too comfortable to be a beginner. Plus, you are dead on time throughout. Ok, if you are a beginner your a natural. Don't stop. Don't stop anyway.

  • Thx for the kind words. Seriously, the wife gave me a guitar as a joke when I tuned 40 and I taught myself to play it in a few days. Strange.
