Thats why Import bikes can go 10 times faster? Harleys cost alot to maintain and are mainly just for cruising around on. Imports go fast and can also just cruise.

no, ignition actually starts slightly after the beginning of the compression stroke. it all helps with volumetric efficency.

I think he's talking about the left cylinder. The right one starts ignition right before the top of the compression stroke, like it should, and the left one starts at the bottom of the compression stroke. You won't be able to ignite something thats not compressed, or if it does light off, it won't produce much power.
