This gun really has to be updated but it has been out for quite a while. The only balance problems in the game are the shotgun and the snipers. Shotgun should be a one hit kill at close range with the double barrel being a one hit kill at a little farther than close range. The reason why the shot gun is so unbalanced is that if you are using the double barrel there is a long delay where you can not switch or melee so you are pretty much dead if anyone else finds you.
they really gotta' load at least one last update to this game. the shotgun is weak as a mofo, I understand at farther range, but seriously if a guy is 2 feet in front of you, the shotgun should take 'em out in one hit! come on Insomniac! update the shotgun!

Is this map not in the finished r2??? I never remember playing on it, and it looks like a good map. WHIIIIEE??? Also, the rossmore shown in this vid's primary shots look like they can actually kill, while today's rossmore is only good for the double barrel /sad :(
when you're extremely close to somebody, just use the double barrel. If it doesn't kill the opponent, then switch to the magnum. And you're good for just someone who uses the single barrel shot most of the time.

Dont get me wrong. Im not saying you are bad. I watched your bulleye video and you're pretty good. But the guys you're playing against in the rossmore video are just plain stupid. They could just turn around and kill you even if you started too shoot first. But they just stand there not even wondering what is shooting them. You shot 8 bullets on one of the guy. He had a sniper. Did he switch to magnum? Did he tryed to flee? No, he tryed to no-scope you with his sniper instead.
Single shot is epic phain online. ALWAYS use Double shot. If that doesn't work, switch to magnum as soon as the double shot goes of and finish the enemy. That's weapon switching and it's crucial for shotgunning.

hi everyone im lvl 30 competitive i quite like using the shotgun i figured out some tips that might help you guys out:
1. if you see a carbine, bullseye, wraith etc user in front of you at quite a long range....run away (you would die charging towards them)
2. one double barrel shot can kill an auger shield (use this to your advantage)
3. NEVER charge straight towards a group of people ( only if you have over load on)

I use the Rossmore often, and it's an amazing gun personally.
The secondary is the way to go, it kills at one hit but that's nearly point blank. But I feel the satisfaction nonetheless.
