I did this song. Twas a bit faster and had guys. We did fantasic considering we only have 8 men all together and 6 second sopranos. XD I am one of those second sopranos in my chorale.

I don't know who Patti Drennan is but this was written by Arthur O'Shaughnessy. This poem has been set to music several times, including Edward Elgar, who quotes several earlier works.This is nice but a little too sacharine coated for my taste. This is a stunning work for Women's chorus. Jeffery Redding directed the FL 06/07 Women's All-State Chorus here. The orchestration by Brant Adams is exceptiona. Rare is the opportunity for an All-State Chorus to be accompanied by full orchestra. The composer, Patty Drennan, has captured the poet's text supurbly. The chorus did a wonderful job as well. My only regret is not being able to be in the audience to hear it performed live. Grand!
