  • I saw these girls on the Today show and I was so inspired. I have a niece though she is only six she is having a lot of the same problems with her father being gone for a year. Hopefully this will take off and can include younger girls. I am planning on supporting. This is a real problem that until I had to take care of my niece this summer I did not even understand. Please help these girls!!!!!

  • Kaylei! i saw your story on CNN last night and was so surprised. not sure you remember me but im from EGHS band (played clarinet). i had no idea that's why you wore that army uniform--i seriously just thought you had a weird sense of style haha. Wow, who would have known that a small town girl from Elk Grove would start something so moving and helpful for military teens (and i'm sure anyone with family in the military). I hope this organization keeps growing. god bless

  • I just wanted to let you girls know that you are doing a great job! This is going to be a wonderful program for children of deployed soldiers. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan and have two young daughters and everyday I think about how this deployment is affecting them and how future deployments will affect them as they get older. I think this is amazing and I wish you girls tons of good luck as you work towards this goal.

  • Great job, saw you on F&F this morning. You saw a void and you are now filling it. For us non-military folks, you might want to mention what a BDU is when you are on these programs since it is part of your name.

    What is a BDU?

  • I met you girls at the may CNG child and youth program out reach event in fresno and thought your concept is so wonderful I'm a volunteer for the family readiness program and I cant wait to find the daughters in our units to get involved Im so excited for this

  • Like many people who have posted, I heard your story on NPR and would like to know how I can help. As a military spouse experienced in coordinating large events on a military base, I would like to use my skills and connections to help you see your project through to completion. Do you have a centralized informational email address set up so that can forward our contact information?

  • Yah!! I am so proud & excited for both of you!

I, too, heard your story on NPR. As a military dependent myself, I totally empathize with your experiences & salute your vision. I would LOVE to offer financial support (setting up a PayPal acct is an excellent idea).

Please keep us posted on your developments!

  • Also heard your story on NPR. I was moved by the experiences you shared with each other; and inspired by your desire to have a convention in California. At your Convention, I hope you will consider offering a speech on U.S. Foreign Policy - because we as a country do not have to sacrifice families like yours; there is another way and hopefully, your activism will grow and gain momentum - and demand changes for the National Guard and the future of the U.S. - best wishes from peace Mom.

  • Found you after your NPR interview yesterday--it's really great what you are doing, and it will help many other girls.

Can you set up a PayPal account to allow others to contribute and help support your program?

Best wishes for continued success and growth of your excellent project!

  • Heard your story on NPR yesterday and it brought tears to my eyes. You're both an amazing ray of hope for our nation's future. Let us know where donations can be sent.

  • Heard your story on ATC today and I was very touched by your story. Please keep us posted. Let me know how and where can I send any donations so your convention can happen! Keep up the good work! We need more people like you girls in this world. I am very proud of you two and wish you guys the best!

  • What the hey, no comments? Even after a spot on ATC?

Ladies, WTG! You have obviously given this much thought and I wish you all the best.

  • Heard your story on NPR today. Have you set up the ability for people to send donations?

  • You girls ROCK! This is so needed. I admire you both for taking this on. All I can say is "You Go Girls!"

  • BRAVO-Best Wishes on your Goals and Aspiration. The NPR story will help in a big way. I will post your story on my facebook to help grow your dream. You planted a seed -Be READY FOR THE HARVEST- David B

  • Heard about your project on the radio. Rock on!! I know your conference is going to be a big success.

  • I'm so glad you are getting this story out there. Congratulations on some amazing work. You will have thousands more hits tomorrow thanks to Scott Simon's story. I'm a child psychology who really respects your vision and courage.

  • Great idea girls! I work at NGB in Washington DC, heard your story on NPR and I'll see what we can do via Family Programs to assist! Keep the faith, as there are a lot of teens which could benefit from your conference! Once again, great idea!
