the problem with ignorant people who dont study is they cant hide their ignorance this is dragon dragon combines all four animals and forms the dragon a a spirit of all four internal syles dont display flash and sometimes people are disseminating knowledge not just skill thank you great video
@jelloofhell Cobra style is a dead style, and is considered non existant. Yes the Lung Ying system does have characteristics to the snake style of Kung Fu, but they are quite different in a lot of ways, and similiar in others...cheers
There is a northern and a southern dragon style. This is the southern style, which is a mixture of among other things, the hakka arts and southern shaolin. It is considered a hakka art, related to the hakka white eyebrow, mok gar, southern mantis, and other various hakka arts.
When people say five animals, they typically refer to the five animals of the shaolin tradition. These are (in this order) dragon, snake, tiger, leopard, crane. The other lesser known (or more recent) animals of the southern tradition are lion, elephant, horse, monkey, and bear to form 10 animals in total. Almost all southern arts are based on these animals. Northern styles tend to have other animals and significantly more than five.
@tonglung18 haha my 5 animal order is completely different. Where did you get yours from bro? I do Southern Shaolin Five Form Fist (Five Animal Five Element) from Tran Loi Minh in Paris.
Mantis stands on its own as a style and neither falls into any particular animal grouping nor has any other animal (as far as I know). This applies to both northern and southern traditions.

No, although it does incorporate some of the other techniques from such other animal styles of Kung Fu, it is in an of itself a separate form. Actually... I think that the Dragon IS one of the 5 main styles... At least I thought it is.
@xZerocopyx both yes and no. The classical 5 animals are Tiger, Panther, Dragon, Crane and Snake (in that order). Dragon does incorporate elements from the other 4 but it is a style in itself, and its a VERY high level skill, pressure points, breaking bones, psychology and so on. It looks very coiling and is very mysterious. Monkey is often taught within many 5 animal styles (where you combine the 5 and switch as you se fit), like Horse, Bear, Eagle and others. Mantis fist is a complete system.
hey nice viseo do you know if they have a school over here in san fracisco like this dragon style is is southern or northern boxing

@TingSingChiKung
No it's not. It's just not common. We have some here in Chicago that descended from the Triads who came here and set up shop in the 1930s

Dragon style is a separate school of kung fu.
