haha its funny to see how even in london in the early 90's ppl were dressing grimey. then garage came through & uk sort of got its distinctive ''urban'' lane
Brilliant, great upload ! back when Uk Hip hop was first finding its own voice with London Posse, Overlord X, Demon Boys, Gunshot, Blade, The mighty Hijack and even the late Derek B, great days !
@samhain66 phark! i didn't even know derek b was dead :(
living in perth australia (the most isolated capital city in the world) & not really diggin' most of the poo the us was peddling at the time, our best link to good hip hop was the mighty hip hop connection mag which put us on to a mass amount of uk choons. loved it
i loved watching it grow and stand on its own own two hooves just like i've seen the aussie scene do the same.
the "realest"hiphop hasn't come from the us in a long time!
ive put this video in my profile of a pen pal site im on educating people on uk hip hop,just intrested now to see how many people actually view this amazing piece of music history in my life (im not a geek by the way ha ha)
remember watching that on mtv when i was 19,im 36 now,that song is one of my top hip hop songs of all time,not of uk hip hop but hip hop generally,makes me laugh hip hop in england then was like a small thing,today its a house hold name,how things change and ho people from out of nowhere jump on the bandwagon
