Most AMD mobile chips do tend to run warm, when compared to other chipsets, I have an older 1.8Ghz AMD Sempron based ACER notebook, and i about roast my legs if i don't use my mobile desk, and notebook cooler, same goes my Everex Dual Core AMD laptop. kind of hard to balance performance, heat, and cost on a mobile chipset. Far as the ATOM goes I'm sick of all the bland ATOM based crap hardware coming out as of late. INTEL FTL!!
I would love to see a dual core VIA Nano chip clocked at between 1.6ghz - 2.2ghz, in a 15.6in notebook/desktop design. The 15in 1.5ghz VIA C7 based Everex notebooks, where not so great. VIA give us people who hate INTEL, a lower cost alternative with a good powerful low heat dual core chipset, and decent graphics. Until you can do this, i will be buying/building AMD based machines. I want to see you guys do well, so please give us what we want please??
AMD Neo would of been great (as it whoops the Atom), but it's a tad too hot.
