@MegaSlaze Because the Pentagon isn't the most secure building on the planet. Wasn't on 9/11/01 and isn't today. It's an administrative building that has several highly secure facilities inside it such as NMCC, but the building and surrounding area was an extremely permissive environment before the attacks. It can't be secured to the degree you think it should be, because it's in an major metropolitan area.
@Halo4Lyf So wait, if it's a metropolitan area, shouldn't it be a no-fly zone? When these planes were "hijacked", NORAD knew and should have deployed the F16s to shoot them down BEFORE they reached their targets. F16s show up 8 minutes after the 3 planes hit their targets. Not to mention, if the Pentagon is a governmental building. shouldn't there be more than 1 security camera surveying the entire building? Why do the FBI not show what really hit the Pentagon?
@MegaSlaze Do you know where the Pentagon is? Right next to Reagan International Airport. You can't make it an absolute no-fly zone, and prior to 9/11, there was no great need to restrict commercial air traffic in the area. It would be like trying to declare my hometown of Des Moines a no-fly zone, even though there is an international airport within the city limits. Just not economically feasible, not without destroying the commercial air industry nationwide.
@MegaSlaze Also, do you know how many alert fighters there were on the East Coast that day? Four. Four fighters on alert-15 were available for NORAD to scramble to intercept the threat. The rest were tasked out on training exercises for the day, or were down for maintenance, or existed only on paper (the USAF was in bad shape after the Clinton Administration).
Why do you expect the USAF to be able to counter a threat - hijacked planes used as kamikaze weapons - they had never trained for?

And please, tell me what precisely is it you think happened that day?

A new bill passed that can convict you to prison without trial if they SUSPECT you of being a terrorist. If you pause a 2:39 you can see a person falling, these sick sick people who think it's okay to kill about 5,000 people in one day, makes me want to go to wherever they are keeping the terrorists that weren't actually in the crashes but helped with it and spit in there eye!

I like the part where the brave passnagers grab the controls of the plane as it rolls upside down and the ground gets closer and closer through the cockpit window. and the cross at the end in rubble is DEEP.

I'll never forget the day I found out the trade centers were laying on the ground. I woke up and someone told me because I slept late that day.
then shortly thereafter it hit me " an iconic building is in oblivion, the world will never be the same again and it hasn't been since.

after 9/11, i discovered that my time is better spent fighting for freedom rather than protesting against the war. on 9/11, the liberty our founding fathers&mothers died for was attacked by a bunch of cowardly, fanatical monsters. i love this great country & i don't take threats on my freedom lightly. i'm switching out of skirts to fatigues, replacing my heels with combat boots. attention al-quada: one angry girl is joining the US Army, ready to fight to keep America free.
