well its been ages since my vr920 worked , due to modding it hehehe

the res was something like 800x600 but u could set it to 1024x768 or so

you gotta tell me about the headtracking, so does it work like a mouse? and is it good? the movement looks like u are the pilot :P and ive heard the 3D enhance is spectacular. give me a reason to spent $600 :P

the head tracking is like a compass so it works from the earths magnetic pull or something like that. it can work like a mouse, trackir and most things u can think of. the tracking can be made perfect but needs some time learning to use it. the 3d is amazing , the vr920 is $400usd not $600 but my tip is wait as there is a new model due to come out soon with higher resolution wide screen and 6dof tracking . that means u can lean forward and the view will zoom in and u can lean to left and right.

lol im aussie too "perth" and i paid $360 for the unit from an ebay store but then the payments got messed up so i had to pay another $30. my vr920 is pulled apart atm cause i modded it and broke the case. my plan was to mount it on a pilot helmet but i got sent the wrong size helmet so it wasnt practical.

The Wrap 920 AV? Yeah it has the 6 DOF, but it's got the same resolution and slightly less FOV.

Also they don't block out anything at all, instead working more like sunglasses.

Also, the 6DOF is just a clip on IR tracker, like the Track IR or other free tracking systems. You can DIY it pretty easily.

nah mate there is another one that will come out , cant remember its name but its as i stated the wrap 920 av is not realy for gaming. the one im talking about is more for gaming . but sorry i dont have time to find the name atm.

i havent played an fs for sooo long, love dog fight games though... have u played any first person shooters with the headset? like cod4 and stuff? i dont think i can wait for the new one :P

ive tryed cod4 with it and i used it with arma which was pretty cool . i tryed to get a script working in a program called glovepie that can make your vr920 do more things . and the script was for cod4 so that when i tilt my head to either side it would lean in the game for looking around corners. the 3d in cod4 doesnt work so well since u see 2 imagines slighty seperate from each other to achive 3d and that throws out your aim

hey mate , basicly the model i have had some discomfort with the nose peice. the screens dont effect your eyes after long periods. the first week or so u will notice when u finish using them a strange sensation in your eyes but nothing to do damage. if u buy them now u get a new nose peice so thats good. i had attached mine to a fighter pilot helmet but the helmet was to big for me

so now i have them attached to a pair of sunglasses for good comfort.

also vuzix are great in the way that they understand there product isnt for everyone. if u are unhappy with it after a few weeks they will refund u without problems , i think they even pay for the return shipping of the headset.

best place would be to order directly from vuzix. for me i got these as a temp solution and also to see wat they were like. i was at the time building a full pc9a cockpit and had planned to use multi projectors . the main problem with the vr920 is learning how to configure it. alot of people expect it to be plug and play out of the box, it takes time to to get it to track right. in this video i hadnt calibrated it 100% but used ingame support to get smooth tracking.not all games have goodsupport

yeah they do but its not my style of music realy i guess this song just matched the style of video i was going for, i used to play bass for them years ago but it wasnt my style so i left . although im an ok bassist it made them come together in sound alot more i think rather then having to many soloist
