I consider myself much more of a libertarian nowadays, but I still think that there's a lot of really amazing stuff to be learned from Atlas Shrugged. regarding iphone games, i have an iphone and i agree, the games aren't that good. the ones that are good cost too much ("aMaze!", which is where you tilt a wooden table so a ball will land in a hole, actually quite fun) ). I don't think they will release games on the Iphone that have any depth though. Just puzzle and maze type games.

Not necessarily. The paladin change to horde was a smart move in a way, gave the horde another tanking class that actually does well. Personally, I heard players enjoyed as Belf pallies than human/dwarf/draenai pallies.

Only started Wow a couple months ago, and it's already replaced Xbox Live for me, even though i have quite a large clan to run.

Maybe if you spent more time looking at the options in the Facebreaker demo then you did ragging on it, you'd find you could go into a practice mode and spar for an unlimited amount of time. Add to that, the time a dev lets you play a game doesn't mean the end product is good (case in point the abysmal Too Human). Facebreaker has been one of the best boxing games to come out in the past few years. Sadly you'll miss out on it.

totally agree that Braid is the shit. Jonathan Blow is a fuckin genius. not much else to say on that matter apart from NEVER, EVER USE A FAQ! I think Braid is worth more than $15, it's better than a lot of $60 retail games!

On the subject of Madden NFL 09, give it a break! As with most sports franchises, it's kind of come to a point where the developers have pretty much perfected the gameplay and presentation. all they can do is update the stats and teams, though the Wii versions innovate.

After hearing your guy's review of Braid, I think you'd like the Wiiware Toki Tori, I think it's 10 bucks. It's almost the same exact idea as Braid. It's a platformer puzzle game, except instead of powers (and jumping) you have limited-use items. You get different kinds the farther you progress. There are the mandatory missions which you kind of figure out in 10 minutes or less, then a bunch of "hard" missions which are ... hard. The satisfaction you get from figuring out the puzzles...

Have you guys tried Hellgate: London yet? If you like Diablo and FPS or third person games, you gotta try it. So far I got a level 25 marksman and I'm still really enjoying the game, especially when playing in parties where you can see how you compare to others in things like DPS and skill. There's a good "buddy" system and a mail feature that's a nice way to keep in touch or trade gear too. Anyway, I hear it's made by the team who made the original diablo so ch-ch-check it out.

What it attempts is to try to elevate games to the level of art, by integrating every gameplay mechanic with the ideas presented in its almost optional story, on top of having amazingly clever puzzles, interesting gameplay, beautiful art, and great music.
