  • I just got a new I7 Dell at work and I noticed the keyboard was shaped like a taco. No worries I just put on my knee and bent it into shape. If you twist the keyboard it just stays in that shape. Its pretty funny how cheap it is.

  • i have a 09' satellite, it doesn't do this. i had to disassemble the entire laptop a few times and i noticed the entire back of the keyboard is solid metal, that could be why it can put up with my occasional slamming.

the reason these new laptop keyboards flex is because they are designed to pull cold air from above the keys into the fan to help cool down the system.

as for my oldish satellite, it gets blistering hot if i cover up the bottom vent.

    -its not cheap.. its smart

  • Mine does that a bit too, they have reduced the thicknees of the keyboard to make the laptop lighter, and it also reduces typing noise,

  • At least you know the keys can take some impact. Opening that with a joke. On a serious note, Who presses on a keyboard that hard anyway?

  • mine doesnt flex...

  • if you dont like the flexing get a fucking external keyboard XP

  • lmao retards! the keyboard will flex because its not a permanent keyboard... the keyboard is remove able to open the computer

  • Hahaha mine doesn't do that :P

  • Making a good keyboard is very easy. It is the bare minimum that anyone should expect. Copying the excellent ThinkPad keyboard should be easy.

This test was performed on a CDN keyboard. It might be lower quality than the US one.

  • The X505-Q870 doesn't do this, does it? I would imagine not, at $1,499.

  • wtf thats lame!, even cheap dell laptops dont do that, what happened? did toshiba run out of money after hyping this thing up that they couldnt afford real plastic for the keboards? LOL it this thing has heating problems and they cant solve the issue how bout putting in another fan underneath that hollow keyboard, its a start LOL it will give keyboard support and cool the cpu

  • i have this same exact laptop. the flex doesnt really affect me at all and really i dont really flex its cuz i type really lightly. so its not problem for me

  • thats the point im trying to get across..

  • i luv da glossy but yers is shiny rubber

  • whats the difference x300 and x305?

  • just googled the model number and thats the $2000+ qosimo acting that way?

by l505 might be slower but shes better built!

  • thats frightening.

i have a 2week old toshiba and so far so good. besides the flex is yours going strong?

  • colocguy i dont believe you, prove it

  • ufff that sucks

  • the keyboard is made from rubber its close to the mine that she will flex

  • how is this bad? it means that if u close it with something inbetween it wont break yes?

  • MY DREAM...

  • 0:11 sticky keys on YAH BABY !!

just kiddin .. anyway i'll buy one this weekend .. cuz i'm sick of the high price ps3 games and the FUCKIN red ring of death

  • I recently bought the Qosmio x305 q725 and my keyboard doesnt even flex like that.

  • whats wrong with the keyboard?

  • watch when he presses the shift key down, the entire keyboard bounces down instead of just the keys.

  • i bought one today. i think this is a pretty good notebook..

  • right. i'm going to get one next week. i think this "keyboardflex-problem" isn't worthy mentioning. i had an older ibook till now and the keyboardflex was even worse on it, than that what i saw in this video.

  • i got x305-q701 and i had the same problem, so i dropped it to the closest toshiba service and they changed the keyboard

  • i fix mine by buyng an alienware

  • lmao.

    owned. =D

  • alienware make the worst gaming laptops. put a message up when yours dies

  • alienware is where its at !!!!!!

ull find real pro tech there

  • but the x300 gives u the best components and graphics card for the price than any other laptop in the world. mine was the cheapest laptop with 9700GTS in the world the others were $1000 extra at least with the same specs! and thats a fact!

  • yep its true, the X305 is the best value for money. Alienware make some really cool shit, but its usually $1000-2000 more than other laptops with similar specs.

  • Lol they must have fixed it cuz I have the x305-705 and it doesn't do that at all.

  • over time it will be down.

  • I fixed mine by putting a very thin computer fan mesh wrapped in plastic tape under the keyboard near where the arrow keys are. Works great and no flex at all now. Its just a shame that this was needed to be done in the first place.
