I just got a new I7 Dell at work and I noticed the keyboard was shaped like a taco. No worries I just put on my knee and bent it into shape. If you twist the keyboard it just stays in that shape. Its pretty funny how cheap it is.
i have a 09' satellite, it doesn't do this. i had to disassemble the entire laptop a few times and i noticed the entire back of the keyboard is solid metal, that could be why it can put up with my occasional slamming.
the reason these new laptop keyboards flex is because they are designed to pull cold air from above the keys into the fan to help cool down the system.
as for my oldish satellite, it gets blistering hot if i cover up the bottom vent.
wtf thats lame!, even cheap dell laptops dont do that, what happened? did toshiba run out of money after hyping this thing up that they couldnt afford real plastic for the keboards? LOL it this thing has heating problems and they cant solve the issue how bout putting in another fan underneath that hollow keyboard, its a start LOL it will give keyboard support and cool the cpu
i have this same exact laptop. the flex doesnt really affect me at all and really i dont really flex its cuz i type really lightly. so its not problem for me
right. i'm going to get one next week. i think this "keyboardflex-problem" isn't worthy mentioning. i had an older ibook till now and the keyboardflex was even worse on it, than that what i saw in this video.
but the x300 gives u the best components and graphics card for the price than any other laptop in the world. mine was the cheapest laptop with 9700GTS in the world the others were $1000 extra at least with the same specs! and thats a fact!
yep its true, the X305 is the best value for money. Alienware make some really cool shit, but its usually $1000-2000 more than other laptops with similar specs.
I fixed mine by putting a very thin computer fan mesh wrapped in plastic tape under the keyboard near where the arrow keys are. Works great and no flex at all now. Its just a shame that this was needed to be done in the first place.

Mine does that a bit too, they have reduced the thicknees of the keyboard to make the laptop lighter, and it also reduces typing noise,

At least you know the keys can take some impact. Opening that with a joke. On a serious note, Who presses on a keyboard that hard anyway?

Making a good keyboard is very easy. It is the bare minimum that anyone should expect. Copying the excellent ThinkPad keyboard should be easy.
This test was performed on a CDN keyboard. It might be lower quality than the US one.

The X505-Q870 doesn't do this, does it? I would imagine not, at $1,499.
