God bless hard'n'heavy-Back in the late 80,s there was no internet so to keep up with the ever changing metal landscape Metal fans would buy the video magazine Hard,n,Heavy-This clip was featured -Cheers!! for posting this piece of metal history-( yes i know this falls somewhere between rock and hard rock but Adrian Smith is a legend of heavy metal)
Adrian just keeps writing great music. He's an awsome Rock/Metal guitaristand a great singer! Both solos were great. And sweet there's 3 guitarists in this vid. Adrian's solo stuff is amazing
I dunno, heh. I know Adrian had to do this album when he did & I know he had to leave Maiden, but this stuff aint that great. I'm just glad he saw sense again & re-joined Maiden in 1999. We're all entitled to our lapses in sensibilities.
i bought this EP i think it was back in the early 90s. to be honest never thought much of it but would love to go back to that moment in time when rock music was at its best. sometimes you dont have to like the actual song or artist to appreciate the time it was in, if you know what i mean.
I think it's 1989... right after Seventh Son album. Still can't believe it's Smith on vocals. But he is an amazing guitarist. All of my fave Maiden solos are written by him!
this is a gret great song, and this is my first ever album that i buy on CD...of course after hundreds of vinils...great souvenir for a life time...Paris my Love!!
The only song on that dreaded A.S.A.P. album that approached Iron Maiden-level quality was the opening tune, "The Lion." That was a great song, but the rest was, well... I do love Adrian and he's one of the all-time great guitarists, but the A.S.A.P. concept was terrible. But Iron Maiden did an even more wrongheaded thing when they replaced Bruce Dickinson with Blaze Blayley for two albums, so I guess we all make mistakes.
I have this album on vinyl, and it's superb. Yes, it sounds a lot different to Maiden, but that was the point of recording it, to use up his ideas that didn't fit in with Maiden's style. "After The Storm" is an absolutely fantastic song, but there's no way it could have fit in with Maiden's sound.

i like this song. Considering all that Maiden have accomplished, this adrian sideline is quite nice, even if the real thing is his Maiden era, especially Number of the beast---Seventh Son. The solo rocks, you get all the attibute of a typicaly Adrian solo, there is not even a difference, i like it with the new style. But geez its good to have him back in Maiden, just to adjust back that li'l Gers.
Dude, remove 2 of your ribs, and blow yourself! Yes, it's very good, Smith's an amazing song writer, singer, and its an understatement to say he's also an amazing guitarist too, but to say it's better than anythin Maiden's ever done is fucking blasthomy considering how many world wide fans they have! Words like that can start riots in some cultures

he wrote this song before they recorded Somewhere in Time (you can hear it on "the entire population of hackney" bootleg, where H, nicko and some friends played..) But it sounded a bit different back then.. But obviously it was too "soft" to feature in a maiden album.
