Brilliant, it's good to hear them performing GG again...I wish they would tour East to Montreal, where GG found their nest in Montreal back in the 70's, how many Bands can actually play GG stuff seriously? not too many imho.
Relax. Nobody in the band (or anywhere else) thinks this band is "better than GG". This was my best shot at showing respect to a group I love. Me? I can take your critique of my vocal. It is what it is. However, you're in the weeds about Ernie. He's one of the best guitarists in Chicago.
That is good advice. For music from guys in the above vid, check out Chris Clemente & Tom Hipskind in Chicago's Kick the Cat, Ernie Denov's bad called Bad Dog, and (if you can find it) Jamie Pastman's Apprentice (older but still original and very good).
Absolutely wonderful to hear and see this clever, edgy music being played live again after all these years. I saw GG a few times back in the 70s in Birminghgam, England and I used to come away from their concerts both thrilled and exhausted by the excitement of their complexity and precision. You have not only captured that spirit but carried the music forward with this performance. PLEASE come to the UK ASAP! Brilliant!
Simply Brilliant. Thank you Mike and the Band for sharing this complex and genuine masterpiece from an outstanding extraordinary prog Band GG was. Where can you find such talented musicians nowadays who, can admit that they have abandoned all preconceived thoughts on blatant commercialism and offer you something far more substantial and fullfilling?
Hey, thanks a lot. Would love to come to the UK! Tell me about a venue there and send me a message. The band has changed, but I hope you'll still enjoy the new players, all very dedicated. I loved playing with the guys above, all monsters.
I love it,GG were my fave band and I saw them twice in the states, but can you guys possibly make any money playing the music of a band that could only ever rate a cult following themselves. I play three chord blues in Texas and I bought a huge house and put three kids through college without enough theory to sight read mary had a little lamb ! you could never get a booking down south! keep 'em coming
Very well done. Never thought a coverband where able to play this complex music! Even the sound is very close. Only the singing part is not that clear, but anyway, well done!!

I don't know, it sounded a bit too slow for me, even though I do know that on the live shows, GG DID slow up the tempo quite a bit.
Anyway, not bad, but not entirelly bumrush the tv good, either

Anyone who even attempts to do GG covers gets my admiration.
That music is sooo difficult to play.
And you guys did a great job.
BRAVO.

To me it sounded a bit off or sloppy at a few moments. It WAS the guitarist who was a bit off at the first intro I think...
I can't put my finger on it exactly, but I don't worry, I still love this performance. The violin solo is definitely very cool.
Kudos for the music.
