My father used to bounce me on his knee while humming this song. When I became a father I was sure to pass on the tradition and bounced MY daughter on my knee while humming this to her. I'm 41yo now, my daughter is 20, and my father has passed. This brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face as I remembered my father but mostly it lifted my heart because it was sent to me by my daughter, saying "I remember you bouncing me on your knee to this".
