  • christian song DIO sang

  • Okay, let's settle this once and for all- Ronnie was an atheist by his own words. There was no deathbed conversion - that's a lie that Christians tell about every atheist to make them feel superior. Honestly - is it necessary to LIE to attract converts to your religion?

  • OH NO!!! I HAD NO IDEA THAT DIO PASSED ON. I WONDER IF HE WAS SAVED? DOES ANYONE KNOW? I NEED TO BUY THAT ALBUM AGAIN, VERY ROCKN' AND UPLIFTING, ALSO THE BOOK OF THE SAME NAME 'SEEDS OF CHANGE' IT WAS NOT VERY LONG BUT WHAT A TESTIMONY, AMEN!!!!!!

  • Wow I just discovered this and it's fucking great.

  • ke dire da l'unione di due grandi musicisti e prima ancora da due immensi uomini e' uscito questo masterpiece

  • Where did you get this version???!!! what a freakin' awesome voice

  • I hate how some people hate religion, and hate those that believe in them. Those people are idiots, because it's no better than hating Dio because he was atheist. All I can say is I believe in God and Jesus, AND praise Dio as the God of my music. Let's leave music and religion seperate, and pray to one God for religion, and praise the other for kickass music ^_^

  • @gamepro011 dio had a priest that blessed him on when he died. so he vas a religius atheist ;)

  • @jackstroem1324 Well, that shows how awesome he was XD

  • @jackstroem1324 please get your information correctly. RJD always professed he was agnostic...

  • Before each man's a choice. Reject it or rejoice.

  • Please can someone tell me some more information about this version?

  • DON'T FEEL BAD, HE DIED ON MY BIRTHDAY MAY 16TH, BUT HIS AWESOME MUSIC LIVES ON! RIP RONNIE, ...

  • Where does this awesome 6:11 minute version come from? The version from the Seeds of Change album is 4:56.

  • This was well sung by Dio, but it was Livgren who wrote the song that he rocked. Read the book for the rest.

In 1980 Kerry Livgren released his first solo work, Seeds of Change, featuring vocalists Ronnie James Dio and David Pack of Ambrosia, drummer Barriemore Barlow, and guest spots by friends from Kansas. Also accompanying the album was Kerry's book of the same name. Together, they expressed the passage and resolution of Kerry's spiritual journey, often the subject of his songs with Kansas.

  • @promiskept Thank you for this information.

  • @promiskept Thank you for this information.

  • This song is composed to honor and celebrate the Life, and Blessings brought by Yeshua Messiah, the true King, sent from God to Earth, so that you would adore God. There's nothing Black Sabbath, Dio band, or Satanist about it. It’s a Christian song. Thanks are to flow to and rest with God alone.

The original CD was Seeds of Change: Drums - John Thompson, Bass - Gary, Gilbert, Lead Vocals - Ronnie James Dio, Background Vocals - Joey Jelf, Steve Walsh, Donna Williams, Guitars - Kerry Livgren

  • Perhaps, you were an idiot for riding a motorcycle? I'm only sayin'... God has nothing to do with how stupid you are.... But, you know... whatever, man!

  • @Paganguy1 Praying for you

  • I hope that Ronnie is with King as his singing would suggest. Thx to Kerry for having him in on the vocal.

  • Not the first time "darkness" and "light' collaborated on the same song. I seem to recall that Rick Wakeman played keyboards on "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath".

  • We all need to live for the King. And since my recent motorcycle accident, as I flew through the air, I had the longest 5 seconds in flight to pray to the King. I still pray to the King daily to praise him and thank him for carrying me through my broken bone recovery. The doctors and nurses were there to help rebuild my body, but God was there to give me comfort and peace and watch over my soul.

    What a beautiful uplifting song.

  • @diggerHR I appreciate your testimony here, its true when we get to just seconds before departing we look up to the King, I too was saved from death, and it was a miricle. Blessings to you and yours

  • @diggerHR I thank God for both your life, and your Life. Never forget prayer. That's were it's at my friend. Thank you. Peace and prayer to you.

  • @diggerHR Amen brother. I've been a type 1 diabetic since my preteen years, and lived through many, dozens of low blood sugar seizures. Should've died many times, but praise God, I'm still here.

  • Happy Birthday to RJD

  • @jmastersherm1 \m/ Happy Birthday \m/

  • King Lucifer?

    We miss you Ronnie!

  • @MrCamelneck Kerry Livgren is a hard-core Christian. When he wrote this song it was about living for God. When he contemplated who would sing, he found the most "evil singer' he could thik of in music, which at the time was Dio. RJD did not know the meaning of the song until after it was released in1976.

  • @CRAMERR69

I was just making a joke.

BTW, Ronnie isn't evil. I'm aware that Kerry chose Ronnie because he liked his voice and thought he would sound good on the song.

I've heard of "hard core" punks and "hard core" metal fans, but what's a "hard-core" Christian?

  • @MrCamelneck No. King Jesus. The Way The Truth, and The Life.

  • I love this album, I'm very pleased that Kerry livgren got RJD to do these tracks. Too bad there weren't more to follow. Dio was my personal favorite all around vocalist. An amazing talent.

  • This album actually came out around 1980. I remember being turned onto it by a good friend and this was the song that really stuck out. But now that you mentioned it pb4ueat1390, it is now May 27 2011 and we're all still here...don't waste your time believing that a man can know the date of the rapture...no man knows and will never know the time. I am a minister and licensed one. I studied under the Born again Jews. It is a very strict and demanding school. If you want to know more, let me know.

  • Holy diver is a great album,yes...........RIP Ronnie.

  • It's hard to believe that we lost Ronnie one year ago today. You are missed Ronnie. Blessings to Wendy and family.

  • 3 weeks from today WE ALL will live for the King JESUS - on MAY 21, 2011 around 6 pm . . . Judgement Day.

  • @pb4ueat1390 are you sure about that? lol

  • @pb4ueat1390 LOL

  • Awesome!! R.I.P. Now You Live For the King!

  • This is very very special! I been hunting for this recording for a while now! I believe it was recorded not to long ago? Maybe 6 - 7 years? WOW. Amazing! Love you RJD! Always will. I miss Ronnie so much!!

  • Dio I miss your voice
