I've got the song '...a happy atmosphere, I love a party with a happy atmosphere' in my head. I don't know, I think it was sung by Russ Abbot. Was it featured on this show?
I remember Russ Abbot appearing in the Freddie Starr Comedy Madhouse, and from what I remember, the Russ Abbot Madhouse stemmed from the Freddie Starr madhouse. Does anyone have any clips of this early show? This is where Russ came to prominence.
when ever I see that LWT logo it reminds of those great days of Saturday Night on ITV with shows like Russ Abbots Madhouse, & in Bucks Fizz's words, now those are gone, about best comady on ITV at the momant is Harry Hill's TV Burp
Whoever came up with that title sequence must be some kind of genius! I had long forgotten this theme music, but watching this brought back so many great memories of my growing up. Thanks for sharing!!
I used to love this show. Made my Saturdays this did. And so many of his team went on to have great careers. Les Dennis and Dustin Gee did The Laughter Show on BBC1, Susie Blake was the continuity announcer on Victoria Wood As Seen On TV and Jeffrey Holland did Hi-De-Hi.

I haven't heard this for years - a great tune! Also, notice how all his co-stars are listed in alphabetical order by surname?

One of the funkiest theme tunes of all time, sadly forgotten by many.
Great to hear it again!
