i still have two 18" mtx crankers 8ohm unopened a bunch of old school pioneer amps

12" M&M godfather linearpower amp the hot setup amp 2x125

yea small magnets but when they was popular back in like 94 or 95 they was actually a decent sub and hit pretty hard.my bro had 2 12" terms.

i agree that stinking magnet is smaller than the one that was in my old 1968 kimball organ(long sold) lol cant be that good of a sub. and hey hes reusing parts out of them thats much more than what most of these guys do on here.

@MSNIMSM i used it for parts... i have a even better older mtx 15'' that would be way more worth fixing then this common p.o.s. , some i fix ,some get used for parts , some subs i toss in the back of the closet to keep around for someday when there isnt any around anymore! this 1 inst anything special .

oh scratching coil.its pre-blown.the coil got unraveled.

you cant do anything with a detached sub.only destroying.but if it worked,i would have keept it.those oldschool subs were sweet!

hell ya id like to build a good oldschool system with all old amps and old subs , but its rare to come across good old subs, i might rebuild this sub just for fun this winter. when its cold i get bored and play with subs lol !

i get the same sound from a brand new woofer... is it blown? if it is i have a 1 year warantee so its all good

yeah once i had a scratching brand new woofer too.

i brought it back and got a new one.

the coil wasnt centered.

it was a production mistake.
