I just bought some crappy mic from best buy. As long as it is external you can play with mic setups. You may need an extender cable, but any external mic for your camera will do.

@DLoc137 any turbocharger with an after-market high-flow (conic shaped) intake will make this sound when the bypass releases boost pressure back into the intake. this non-atmospheric blow off is especially pronounced during high boost level gear changes.

Boy that sounds f'in amazing. Too bad that isn't audible from the interior without an intake of some sort. Really wish it came like this, as I want the sounds, but not the drawbacks of an intake/bov when untuned for it, or unnecessary.

Yea. What I did was removed the snorkus on the car to get the mic in there. I really loved how the sound turned out on this video too. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Please dont put a BOV on your car unless you have a MAP sensor please, it just makes your car go rich on lift off(try removing your snorkus or getting an intake). Check our website for how to remove your snorkus.

I just put an Ultimate racing intake on my 08 WRX..no need at all to put a BOV on.  Everyone thinks I have one but its just the intake...secondly what exhaust is that..I really like the that sound...?

That is a stock WRX with the Snorkus removed. Stock exhaust too, the reason the sound is so cool is because the microphone is practically inside the intake.

so if i were to put a bov on my non- sti 2002 wrx it would run to rich?

after the BOV releases to atmosphere it most definitely would on a MAF system. There are BOVs that provide a nipple for recirculation hoses (which you would just have to plug in). In that case they would be the same as a CBV.
