"Come on down and buy a Sputnik. We have miles and miles of Sputnik. They're friendly, they're cheap, they taste good, because, a Sputnik a day keeps the doctor away..."
"SHUT UP... SHU-SHU-SHUT UP!!!" XD
Thumbs up if, like me, you want a record of the complete Beethoven's Fifth remixed like the intro of this. :)
i remember just cranking the shit out of this album back in the day...although i still have the Vinyl the cover got wrecked over the years and sadly is no more :( i always LOVED the epic intro to this track \m/
I was the ONLY one in town who liked this when it came out...Heck I was the only one who even had the thing! But then again, I was the only one who had Bauhaus records in my town in the early 80's...In a town of 500,000!!
@canada7167 No, No, No! The best part kicks in at 2:25 mon. This is pure Rock N' Roll. Georgio Moroder and SSS kicked the 80's in the face. This album is in my top ten forever.
I remember some superdork from some little music rag in Toronto having a fit interviewing Degville. He blared at him "what will be your crowning achievement?" Degville " When we detonate ourselves onstage!" I fucking SCREAMED!!!
I have this on vinyl, cassette and CD. I was blaring the CD the other day. Funny how it took nearly 20 years to build home stereo speakers to handle the Sputnik bass, even though Atari Baby still shakes things off of the shelves.
@loonmaniac Same here! I always have to turn the bass down on that one. The person upstairs loves it so much they always invite the apartment managers over to listen to it with me!
Yeah, I am too in that, no one recognize even one tune of SSS. Its sad because they plays much better then most bands now. Anyway I LOVE SSS!!!!!!! cheers guys!
Back when I used to live down in Boy Howdy,Texas back in the 80's, this group was the final straw that got MTV removed from our cable system.
For you younger ones, MTV used to play music.

Like everything ahead of its time, the world didn't recognized SSS for it's true value.
Sadly, because it's my all time 80's favorite band.
Timeless...
