I have the special edition CDMA version of this phone. It still get's Alltel's (now Verizon) signal. I can actually make calls using a roaming provider all calls I try and place are forwarded to.

Even in the early 2000's this was a common cheap phone me and a lot of kids at my school had if they had cel phones. This model or ones with the same nokia body. I remember people having all kinds of face plates on these. It was a very common phone for a few years.
