An all-time Gomer Pyle favorite. Everyone that recalls Gomer Pyle seems to recount this episode.

This is another "edited" episode. There's supposed to be a part where Gomer sings a song to the dog while he's laying outside the cage called "there are smiles that make us happy", and also in the epilogue (that's not included) where the dog jumps on Carter again and Gomer has Carter sing that song to the dog again to calm him down. I guess there's a copyright issue with the song as to why it wasn't left in.

Notice how Gomer doesn't bend his back at 8:41 but then at 14:50 it must be easier to pull the dog away, also at 11:34 everybody goes fast when they go over the fence but Gomer goes slow but at 14:55 Gomer jumps and runs faster.
