The response which came from the media and supporters begin with the Obama campaign. If the camapign doesn't approve of a debate, then supporters don't engage in the debate. And I see (at least until election day) Obama as a camapign, not an individual. CRK
Let's name some politicians who actually were celebrities.... how bout Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Jesse Ventura!
Unlike politicians who get their popularity from the entertainment industry, Obama's a "celebrity" because he's been an effective civil servant and politician who has inspired people.
McCain appears desperate running these kinds of ads.
The lighting helps with the subliminal brainwash. Did you check out the polls?
McCain: 44%
obama: 44%
9 points, vanished less than a week after World Tour. Maybe that's why Obama flip flopped on OffShore Drilling. Bring the Troops Home. Iraq. Afgan..etc..
See I think that looks desperate. I think Brack's campaign faded hard & fast in the primary. The only reason he won is because the vote was spread out over months. But not in the General. November 5, your Boy is going to lose. CRK
OMG, You know it, don't you")? The spring isn't in his step anymore. The media all seem bummed. Barack just had the most one sided Presdiential Camapign covergae in the History of Mass Media and instead of a bump, he plummets 9 POINTS, Distaster! Just like against Hillary, it's all falling apart. No Caucuses, no Lead to rest on. He's going to lose. You're going to wake up Nov 6 and the 1st thing your going to think is "I can't believe it was all for nothing." Can you see it? Can u feel it? CRK
McCain's "Celeb" ad was shown on Norwegian National News, so we know what McCain thinks of Europeans. In our national newspapers we also can read about his gaffes about Czechoslovakia, Sudan/Somalia, President Putin of Germany, and more.
Yeah, keep on insulting Europe John McCain. It's a great strategy, if you want to make friends. Experience in foreign policy, my a**s
I can't follow all of what you wrote, but YES, you're headed in the right direction; instead oif crying like a little girl who skinned her knee; you're on the offensive; I hope your boy Barry follows suit and let's his balls drop:) CRK
McSame probably has Obama pictures plastered all over his wall.
McSame needs to drop his man crush on Obama and start talking about his policies instead of diverting our attention away from them but we all know that if McCain starts to talk about his policies the blind will finally see that his name is McBush.
I'm glad you hit me up, StarChild just text me from the airport; they need more of those flowers you make out of toilet paper.
LO* .. Oh wait, you don't remember the Moonies. They were a cult. Now, I know what you're thinking "I'm not in cult." But, do some research on the symptoms of Cultish behavior. Sleep on it, and then ask yourself again.
And remember that all these Politicians, are just Politicians. You're,{ahem} 'Prophet,' is just a person, just, like, you. CRK
I think those mind high jackers and fear mongers that you call the repub party manipulated you into thinking that we think that this guy is the second coming. You're talking about cult like behavior. How about you Repubs actually thinking that we are fighting a war that is worth a damn in Iraq. How about you Repubs thinking that the bad economy is somehow in our minds. You really want to follow eight more years of the same old crap. You are the people that are experiencing cult like behavior.
"...manipulated you into thinking that we think that this guy is the second coming."
What do you mean "we think.." Who's this "we?" Do you speak for someone other than just yourself? It's fine if you do, I just don't know why you wouldn't be honest about it in the first place. Did someone... did someone, tell you to lie? Did they say you had to? Are they the "we?" CRK
The ad does contain a lie.Obama does not support more dependence on foreign oil. He stands for alternative fueling possibilities. One of the main reasons this ad is so offensive to the educated public is that offshore drilling would not have any effect on our economy or people for at least 10 years, which is too long to wait for a resource that we should be weening ourselves from. Also, many of his "events and activities" are educating the public and registering voters. Since when is that wrong?
So the strategy is to pull Obama and his campaign into the gutter of desparation with the John MCCain and his campaign? Hence the taunting "soft".
The answer to McCain's "The One" ads forces the question that the McCain camp should not want asked. Ready tio lead? Sure. But the question forces, In order to lead, will others follow? And this ad blatantly crams down the throats of Americans that answer already:
Yes. 8 yrs of failed policies have brought us to this point.
If the answer is Yes, then the commercial was good for Obama. And if Obama and Co are crying over something that was GOOD for them, that appears unstable, not to mention unready for anything but therapy. CRK
The difference is that the jokes about McCain being a "cranky old man" are not coming from the Obama campaign. Show me an Obama attack ad that splices video of walkers and bedpans, you're not going to find it.
The truth is McCain's online camp has no reservations soiling their reputation with these tasteless ads.
I see your point; some people consider the media an extension of the Democratic Party, but it's not officially.
However, this video is about Obama's reaction. He's already cultivated the "I'm A Really Nice Guy" image. Now he needs to toughen up a little, at least if he wants to sway the many voters who are on the fence, and who will decide this election. CRK
Thanks for responding personally. I agree that Obama has received a large amount of media attention, some of it unearned. But "the media" is very diverse, and outlets like Fox news have been critical of Obama - rightly so, as it is their proper role and right.
On your second point I would suggest Obama would be better served to toughen his image on his plans for Iraq and the economy, and less on the arguments of these ads.
I do sense a sudden concern on the Ob ama camp. It happened right after he came back from Europe, there seemed to be a little spring missing from theior steps. CRK
Thank goodness Obama's people responded to the ad and blew the response, because without a response this was one of the lamest ads ever produced. Now that Obama has blown the response McCain's ad people finally have focused on something that has traction.
For me this election will boil down to all us decided which guy is least incompetent, and judging by the campaign that is not going to be an easy task.
Respect, for your analysis.I agree, the ad was lame. I disagree that it didn't have traction
The ad targets Seniors. They arent vocal throughout a campaign, but they make the most noise on Election Day.
They value experience and feel more comfortable with Leaders they've gotten to know. Obama has no track record. Seniors only know Obama through the all the media coverage. This ad ties that favortism to the tabloid celebrity, & turns the media love affair w/BHO against him. CRK
LOL, I always just assumed Obama to be more East Side, than Dirty South;) But you're right, the media (in all its forms), favor Obama. I don't want to Bitch about that fact. To do so looks weak. And I defiantly don't want the President to be weak. CRK
Sweety, this video is about Obama needing to toughen, not cry some more, and blame Fox News. I hear a lot talk about 'Hope' 'Change,' but all see is the same old sorry sour grapes every time there's a bump in the road. Barack needs to Man Up, please Pass that along; he'll know what I mean;. CRK
First, I was responding the statement "(in all its forms)".Second, what do you mean by Man Up? Put out derisive ads against McCain? So far, Obama has ran a campaign that avoids those tactics and that is the kind of president we need.On of the main reasons Obama has to respond to everything McCain puts out about him is because he is so widely misunderstood(some STILL believe he's muslim)and HE needs to educate the public about HIMSELF, rather than letting McCain's negative ads smear his image.
I knew it. OK. Don't take the advice. The Obama Camp ought to... how should we put it...OH, "Stay the Course?"
Sure keep up the barage of Barack through the media. Like your forcing your way into people's minds. The seniors, the undecideds, you know.. the demographics which will decide this election. THEY LOVE THAT STRATEGY!:> If it ain't Barack don't fix it honey, show me how it's done:) CRK
every time anyone criticizes obama he whines...so i guess when/if he becomes president everytime his policy gets criticized it'll be race baiting. i for one got sick of it in the primary, at this point i'm done.
I hear you. I think that Obama's reaction is a strategy. But hat strategy is starting to backfire. Even Liberal Democrats agree that the President needs to be able to handle pressure. Nobody wants the Commander in Chief curled up in the fedal psoition under his desk. CRK
I admire Barack Obama for not stuping to politic's as usual.,that is basicly what he's running on to do other wise he may lose hie advantage;and wouldn't that be a damn shame.,Truth be told their both celebrity's;Brad Pitt vs Charlie Chaplin.,both of their campaign's were meant to entertain us,the real candidates are the lobbyist who really control Washington policy's., One way or another were going to war with Iran.
Barack has conducted himself with great dignity. I will concede that.
Obama's campaign has not always followed suit.
I understand that youre an Obama supporter, & won't be dissuaded.
If you remove my "personal touch," from this video, you'll find good advice.
Obama needs to toughen up, and shrug off some of these attacks, because in the grand scope, the attacks aren't as bad as those we've seen in the recent past. & as CmdrnChf, BHO will have to face much, much worse. CRK
obama didnt make much of it cause Obama is higher than Mccain
