Worked good! I had the glitch stop working for a second there. Was walking backwards and stopped it working. Just had to go further than the usual stop into the hall, came back, the noise sounded and back to it again.

There is a way to fix the glitch if you save while doing the glitch, just replace the PENG! statue in the general area of where it was to begin with and go back into the lil room next to the save till ytou hear that boom sound and it should be fixed. worked for me.

@botomatic2 It's an achievement or trophy for upgrading your RIG and all your weapons. It takes about 150-160 nodes depending on how you do it. Power nodes are either found or bought. All this PENG would easily get the monies for all those nodes. Hope that cleared up your question!

I think I saw the tag line "If you're lonely there's always peng" and the achievement is "there's always peng". There are some in game posters and graffiti that say 'I give great peng", and in the DS2 Severed DLC there is "peng me again". It can mean attractive women (which is what the statue looks like?) but it means money in Norway. One of DS' designers is also called Peng.

@left4lol101 I'm speculating here... It's a weird glitch as to how the game keeps track of items, code wise. Each item has a unique code ID. If you sell the item, the code state is changed to used(?). This in turn disables duplication because the code now thinks it is no longer available. But it's a glitch, which allows for so many of them at once.

Try it your way on a separate save and see if it works. My above blah blah may be hot air. =)

You can make Peng respawn on the walkway allowing you to grab it from inside the doorway area with the pile of Pengs [A]

Place the Peng at the location you're at 0:08 [B], and then head back into [A], through the door you're at 0:50 [C]. Repeat as above. Place the Peng from the trench at [B]. This time take the old Peng (which should still be at [B]) into [A]. Repeat [C], Head back out to [B]. Peng will now respawn on the walkway in reach of the kinesis, negating extra door loading times.

Excellent guide. I tried at least 3 item dupes and this seems the fastest and most reliable. Mine stopped duplicating after about the 30th one and stopped respawning. Still had enough for the Power Nodes needed to upgrade everything, great help.

Anyhow, after a certain point of collecting, the sound in the back of the corridor stopped playing, and no more Peng regenerated (I'd gotten about 40...)

You have to carry the peng trophy back to the first room and then drop it and go into that one room near the elevator(the one you use in the first chapter to escape) after a while it should re spawn and do the same thing over and over.

You can just pick up the treasure and leave it on the bridge. The key is to pick up the treasure and then walk a far distance away. You can do this with any item that is in a place to spawn. Pick up, walk away and then come back. Also, Picking up all the items, run to the store and then run back would be faster than moving them all around and ish.

There is a point in the game, chapter 2 I think.. when you have to retrieve the captains rig and when you go to the room one of the monster things, forget their name, grabs the captain and turns him into a monster too.. well on the FLOOR there is a power node.. curious.. has anyone tried doing a dupe glitch with that power node? is it possible do you think?

yeah i got lucky the first time i tried to clone the peng treasure. i had it spawning next to the spot you hear the sound. all i had to do was attempt to open the door near by, run near the save point and another one shows up.

-i got pissed because i couldnt get that happening again on impossible mode.

@MrGnome1358 dunno dude, did you accidentally pick up a Peng into inventory while trying to dupe them? If you did, that's it, done for that save.

The only option is to open a previous save where you didn't begin the glitch yet and start over. That's why, before duping anything in the game SAVE before doing ANY duping, period.

Epic, I was trying to fuck around with that ruby semi-con in the basement and put it under the computer screen in the room with the wierd noise to try this glitch another person made, ruby semi respawn. I couldn't get the ruby thing to ever work once, and this PENG worked first time, funny thing is the peng trophy was the next item I was going to try to glitch and I wouldnt have known to do the noise room I would have tried the save spot. THIS GLITCH IS NOT FAKE
