the people in charge of the LHC at CERN don't know what's going to happen. why shouldn't people be afraid of the possiblities? i think that risking the whole planet is stupid. what are we going to get out of this? why do we really need to know?
There is no risk to even the city, led alone the planet.
You need to either:
a. Research things before you make comments about them, I highly doubt you are trained in quantum field theory, are you?
b. Stop being so stupid as to make yourself afraid ... of something you know nothing about .. really whats the point in scaring yourself when you don't even know what your scaring yourself about?
