  • @snlker Did you complete 5th grade math? If you did you would realize that the equations used to describe a sphere are different than a square or cube. If Mars has a radius of ~3,300km that must mean it's circumference is 20,737km (2 &#928 r). Since Mariner Valley would have to be laid out ALONG that circumference, surely there is enough room for a 4,000km long canyon.

  • If they faked the moon missions, it's possible that they faked the Mars missions too. Do a YouTube search on "MarsFaker".

Google "The Naked Scientists". Go to the "New Theories" section of the forum. There's a thread entitled "Did We Land on the Moon?". On page 15 there's a summary of moon hoax evidence. It's the seventh post from the top.

  • earth and mars have almost the same time for one rotation because earth spins twice as fast as mars, but earth is also twice as big, and vice versa, mars is half as big and twice as slow as earth. similar axis of rotation also cause similar seasons

  • well i dont know, inhabitable perhaps, but with domes and such. Teraforming would be out of the question i feel, due to the size of the planet, its lack of geological activity, and thin atmosphere, etc.

  • Mars could be inhabitable. You would just need to warm it up so all the water thawes out. Then plants could grow and you can remove all the CO2 and convert it into O2. There you go.

  • The main problem with terraforming is the lack of magnetic field. There is enough gravity on mars to hold onto an earth type atmosphere, enough water to form oceans and even enough CO2 locked up. However this liberated CO2 and H2O would begin to be broken up and stripped by the solar wind hitting mar's upper atmoshere unimpeded by an earth type magnetic field.

  • I think using somekind of shields in space to filter the charged solar particles and protect the atmospere could work in the distant future. I believe we will inhabit mars oneday because it's what we do as humans. It's only nonsense like religion that holds mankind back. It's our destiny to colonize space. :)

  • The last thing space needs is another earth.

  • Interesting. Axis seems almost the same, and Earth spins a bit faster.

  • Yes, Mars' tilt is 25 degrees Earth is 23.5 and our day is 23hrs 56 min and mars is 24hrs 37 min. Though Mars is bigger than represented here ! Mars is about 5000 + miles in diameter and Earth is 7000+ miles in diameter making it closer to about 3/4 the size of Earth! Use Valles Marineris as a measuring device-3000 miles long!

  • @snlker The diameter of Earth is 7926 miles; the diameter of Mars is only 4200 miles. Earth is about twice the size of Mars.

  • @luvdomusSo says the official claim. Actually, If you use Mariner Valley as a measure stick at about 2800-3000 miles long, on good Hubble pics ,you can see the valley seems to indicate Mars is about the same size if not slightly bigger than Earth . NASA has been caught in so many lies its not funny. They contradict themselves all the time. Mars is not the tiny dead world they say it is. Mars is a living breathing planet with water, water clouds and life.Yes ,there are forests as well,I have pics

  • @snlker You're a nut.

  • @luvdomus how do you know that

  • well maybe cause it is smaler then the big red!
