ops i replied wrong.. i mean to say, they do know Russian but that doesn't meant that all Ukrainian speak Russian language. Most of people in Ukraine speak Ukrainian, but some of them speak Russian.People have their own preferences. I find Russian language easy to speak for myself. But i regret that I'm unable to talk to my grandmother in Ukrainian properly. :'( she know only Ukrainian because she lives in traditional ways. I do understand Ukrainian but if i speak it, i speak in Eng/Rus.:'(

Ukraine is more of a soft language, but Russian language is a strong Language. :) eeh i now speak English , so i have Ukrainian accent still remaining, and Russian accent. But when i speak Ukrainian i speak Russian or English, aah xD i don't know why. I got used to Russian language, and mostly to English.. So i have a hard time typing in Russian Language, with a grammar errors.

I suggest to learn Russian language because its much easier to learn than Ukrainian. Now i tried to speak Ukrainian and Russian, comparing them. Hmm Is it Russian language soft? and Ukrainian is strong? Idk O.o or its just me who speaks softly. I have a problem pronouncing hard Letters so probably its just me.

@jovanathepolicey So anyway i think, Russian language is best to learn First, than you can Learn Ukrainian language, and Compare. :) But 1 thing you must not forget is Grammar! Some of the setences used differently even though they may have the same Meaning. For example: I love you! , in Ukraine: Ya tebe kohayu! but in Russian : Ya lublu tebya! Koayu and Lublu means "Love". Tebe and Tebya mean "You". I guess Russian is soft Language and Ukraine is  Strong. But they are both Beautiful.
