You stupid, this is Jay's style, Chinese instruments and western beats, called "中国风". Also the "周氏風格" which is what most of HoHo's songs are, murmuring or also called relaxed enunciation.

You don't need to major in music theory to know that the overall sound and feeling is unique to Jay.

No. Jay Chou is not the first artist to mix Chinese instruments with western beats. And as Hoho said himself, the trend he follows is not a PERSON, but an ERA.

Furthermore, Hoho's style is called "Rn'C" or Rhythm & China.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Jay Chou, but Jay is NOT mainstream in Rn'C. Jay is more pop music, he isn't famous for his Rn'C songs.

However, Hoho is dedicated to Rn'C songs. A style shouldn't be credited to a single person, but an era, a time, and an imagination.

So don't compare ANYONE to ANYONE. Every singer / artist / composer is UNIQUE. And the 中国风 is NOT unique to Jay, sorry to say.
