True. I think there are pro-life Democrats who advocate government assistance for single mothers, while at the same time supporting pro-life legislation. However, over 48 million abortions have been performed already since 1973 and that has significantly decreased the amount of tax payers we would have today to provide for social security. Abortion is not only morally wrong it could cause health problems. I have met with young women that have had abortions, and they all are having to deal with the regret. The root of this problem is unprotected sex. If you can't be responsible and wear a condom, and prevent yourself from have an outcome you don't want then don't have sex. If you are in a position where having a child is not an option, then you probably shouldn't be having sex.

Teen girls often have unprotected sex because they a) are drunk/ high and don't know what they are doing or b) don't think it will happen to them. I've never met one who said "it's no big deal to have unprotected sex, I can just have an abortion!" I am a teenage girl, and I can tell you that ignorance is what has stopped girls in my school from using protection. Endling legal abortion will only make a few abstain. If you do a little research you will find that the vast majority of abortions are women who are not in a proper position to have a child at that time, but when they are ready they will still eventually have childern, in fact, they will statistically have the exact same amount of childern as people who will not have abortions, this video is just stupid. (also the childern that are born to the more prepared parents tend to have an easier life then those that were initially unwanted.

HatchetHailey, I have done the research. Average household size in the United States has dropped steadily from 3.67 members in 1940 to 2.62 in 2002. Not being in a "proper position to have a child at that time" does not justify the murder of your own children. Also, having an abortion often leads to either having more abortions and also difficulties in having children.
