haha the three guys behind are talking shit the whole time! Typical "musician" shit right there, talk shit behind the persons back and say how great they are to their face.
@sebajo82 He's just a regular European guy who doesn't see any problem doing that 'cause deep down inside he believes that the world belongs to him and that he's entitled to take off in any fashion that he fancies 'cause he can apologise in the worst case ;@
@doogleisfat uhm but fender deluxe has an other shape..that shape is from the original jazz bass and there is that extra knob...what matter, it sounds great!! :D
I love this guy, I saw him with Whitesnake a couple of years ago and not only his bass playing was great but also his back-up vocals, actually sounded better than Coverdale's in some parts.
Monster player, this is an addictive clip, can't believe he's not heaps more talked about as a great bass player, very under rated or hidden almost. Puts others to shame
That's funny! He's the WhiteSnake Bass Player but loves to play Funk bass! Actually he is a very good player. Good techniques and feeling. I liked the Bass set up too.
Every video I've seen of you amazes me man, you've got the technique but you emphasize the groove enough that it doesn't sound like wanking. I remain a fan.
I've seen alot of famous bassists on youtube play that little thing you played in the beggining, but I like how you didn't slap it and just did it finger style. That was a really cool take on it. Also I'd love to know what it is.
Mexican standard? I believe that not ... he looks like a model deluxe for the distribution of the jack, it is active. It is obvious. And the headstock has the design of the 60, ¿ you do not believe that it can be the Mexican deluxe?
Sorry- I wasn't paying attetion to the bass at all, since it wasn't set up properly. They just had to have them around to demo the amps.
I actually use mexi standards and perfer them to the americans- I've used them (pimped out to my specs) on many recordings including the latest Whitesnake Album. Peep my Uriah Duffy bootleg band footage and you'll here my main one....
but yeah- you're probably right- It could be something else in the vid
Yep, Brian May built his guitar from scrap fireplace timber and motor bike parts. Recorded and play some reasonable big gigs with it........ tut tut, not a fan of show pony look at me look at me. And he's playing a stock deluxe jazz too. The RS cabs do sound awesome though.
The beginning is a bit of "The Lesson", off of Palmystery- up until 1:15. Then it's just messin around until the ending, a solo bass version of "Is This Love".
Yet another great performance from Mr Duffy... an excellent bass player!

I think a mexican standard- my favorite. It really wasn't set up for proper playing, let alone solo bass playing! I'm WORKIN to get notes out.

Just goes to show everyone that you DON'T need a $7000 Fodera to play like Victor Wooten.
