  • Yet another great performance from Mr Duffy... an excellent bass player!

  • haha the three guys behind are talking shit the whole time! Typical "musician" shit right there, talk shit behind the persons back and say how great they are to their face.

  • すげえ、惚れた。

  • looks like a mexican deluxe jazz...that man could make a shoebox with a rubber band sound good...

  • Highly Blessed!!

  • 0:40 somebody knows what´s wrong with that guy with the bag?!

  • @sebajo82 haha apparently he didnt like it?

  • @fryBASS the american standard jazz bass should have a sword in the head for this guys... haha

  • @sebajo82 He's just a regular European guy who doesn't see any problem doing that 'cause deep down inside he believes that the world belongs to him and that he's entitled to take off in any fashion that he fancies 'cause he can apologise in the worst case ;@

  • awesome uriah!! what model of fender jazz is that??

  • @riddickbass989 Must be an American Active Deluxe, note the extra knob and the bottom mounted jack plate.

  • @doogleisfat uhm but fender deluxe has an other shape..that shape is from the original jazz bass and there is that extra knob...what matter, it sounds great!! :D

  • Watching stuff like this makes me proud of being a bassist!

  • never heard of this guy but hes frickin' awesome

  • Who is the guy with the back pack? What a dick... Someone should smack him.

  • That is my cousin, who freakin rocks!!!

  • Victor Wooten cover...

  • WOW...amazing! This guy can be funky without relying on slapping, and he has that Jaco feel DOWN. Totally bad ass. More power to him!

  • Uriah is the Man!!

  • somebody now the name of the first track??

  • @keller208 Wooten : the lesson

  • @keller208 called The Music Lesson by Victor Wooten

  • I love this guy, I saw him with Whitesnake a couple of years ago and not only his bass playing was great but also his back-up vocals, actually sounded better than Coverdale's in some parts.

  • olé!!!

  • victor wooten

    amazing player!

  • Monster player, this is an addictive clip, can't believe he's not heaps more talked about as a great bass player, very under rated or hidden almost. Puts others to shame

  • That's funny! He's the WhiteSnake Bass Player but loves to play Funk bass! Actually he is a very good player. Good techniques and feeling. I liked the Bass set up too.

  • Its amazing how the greats can make ANY piece of gear sounds GREAT

  • Not just technical but nice musically

  • great player !

  • what Wooten tune is that at the beginning man??...I need to go work it out now!

  • It's called The Lesson off Vic's most recent Palmystry. Great jam.

  • the bass: Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass

  • hey is that bassist Marlowe standing in the background?

  • @buju Doesnt look like it.

  • it kinda looks like him... I wonder.....

  • Every video I've seen of you amazes me man, you've got the technique but you emphasize the groove enough that it doesn't sound like wanking. I remain a fan.

  • Great Player, very GREAT ! All Styles in perfection !

  • I've seen alot of famous bassists on youtube play that little thing you played in the beggining, but I like how you didn't slap it and just did it finger style. That was a really cool take on it. Also I'd love to know what it is.

  • The Lesson

    by Victor Wooten

  • Its called The Lesson by VW

  • thanks alot.

  • Uriah can jam and he knows fashion too!! Keep the great vids comin

  • Very good interpretation, what model of Fender is ?

  • I think a mexican standard- my favorite. It really wasn't set up for proper playing, let alone solo bass playing! I'm WORKIN to get notes out.

  • Mexican standard? I believe that not ... he looks like a model deluxe for the distribution of the jack, it is active. It is obvious. And the headstock has the design of the 60, ¿ you do not believe that it can be the Mexican deluxe?

  • Sorry- I wasn't paying attetion to the bass at all, since it wasn't set up properly. They just had to have them around to demo the amps.

I actually use mexi standards and perfer them to the americans- I've used them (pimped out to my specs) on many recordings including the latest Whitesnake Album. Peep my Uriah Duffy bootleg band footage and you'll here my main one....

but yeah- you're probably right- It could be something else in the vid

    -U

  • how much do these tc amps go for?

  • Frickin' amazing, Uriah.

Just goes to show everyone that you DON'T need a $7000 Fodera to play like Victor Wooten.

  • u are right bro,u speak the painful truth(painful for the industry gurus and some high end instruments freaks)

  • @inuyashaspet

Yep, Brian May built his guitar from scrap fireplace timber and motor bike parts. Recorded and play some reasonable big gigs with it........ tut tut, not a fan of show pony look at me look at me. And he's playing a stock deluxe jazz too. The RS cabs do sound awesome though.

  • Sounds great though. This amp and cabinets are really getting my attention.

  • vics stuff

  • Yeah, I noticed that, it's off Palmystery, but I'm not sure which song.

  • The beginning is a bit of "The Lesson", off of Palmystery- up until 1:15. Then it's just messin around until the ending, a solo bass version of "Is This Love".

  • good stuff uriah,, dug the "is this love" bit at the end.... - henry

  • How many gigs you played with Whitesnake then wanker

  • Amazing! Uriah is one for the record books!

  • One of the dudes in the background looks a whole lot like MarelowDK haha.

Awesome playing. Love the ghost notes.

  • dude was just gunna say that
