I haven't tryed the super shammy but I have the absorber and it works really great. I suggest the absorber but I ordered it at amazon for 9.99. If anybody is thinking about buying something like this I say the absorber. Just thought that would help if anybody can't think of which one to buy.

Everyone, don't be fooled. Out of curiousity, I decided to give these a try. I did some tests and used the super shammy to try to duplicate what he does with the coke & carpet thing. It does leave the top of the carpet virtually dry (a little damp) and it does get the water off of the floor underneath, but it does NOT get the moisture out of the pad directly under the carpet. If I flip my carpet over, it has a huge water mark that is still moist. And the super shammy was damp before I used it.

Then, out of curiousity, I took a 15 x 15 inch shammy and decided to put it head to head with a 15 x 15 inch microfiber cloth that you can buy in bulk at any auto store for like 8 for $7.  Anyway, I measured 5 oz of cold water and put it in a cup. Each time the microfiber was able to get just about all of the water out and no dripping. I did the same thing with the shammy, and it could only absorb about 3 oz of water and it came out pouring. I tried this test several times...

every time the mircofiber cloth beat the shammy hands down. Everyone, save your money. Microfiber cloths are cheaper, and you can buy them in the autosection of any Walmart, or any auto store.

If you don't believe me, do the same thing I did. Take a 15 x 15 inch shammy vs. a 15 x 15 inch microfiber cloth, and fill a cup up with 5 oz of water. Submerge and see for yourself which is better.
