@1979corvette1 No, it's quite easy. I'm just a kid, and look at me go! Column shifters have their benefits too .. if you've got a bench seat, you can get your girlfriend right next to you and she won't complain.

THAT IS THE BEST TRUCK I HAVE EVER SEEN No tassels or bells or anything just a truck and an oldies, the way it's supposed to be DONT CHANGE A THING ON IT ITS PERFECT Love it. Not even the rims just keep it.
Actually, yeah, the truck is dropped now ... 3" in the front and 6" in the back. I'm working on a longer, higher-quality video with inside & outside footage.
I built it in the style of an old kustom. When this video was shot, it was the stock 223 six cylinder, with a Dennis Carpenter steel pack muffler, single exhaust, with a short tailpipe and turndown.
Now I have a '57 Y-block V8 in it. Check my other videos to see what it sounds like now.
Is that a 223? Those little engines sure sound nice with or without mufflers. My '61 Unibody came with that same engine. I'm restoring mine and putting a 351C under the hood.
awesome truck! I have a black 1960 like yours but it sits on a 1979 f150 4x4 frame and has a huge lift and fitted with 40 inch tire.Sweet rides those old trucks are.
i got a 63 ford f100 that is now a 4x4 with a 300-6 5 speed, sittin on 38 boggers. its pretty hardcore, naw im just playin i got a 78, but its a sweet truck you got in your vid, and it sounds fuckin sweet
Kick ass Traditional style ride dude.I have a brick red 1960 F100 shortbed myself mines got the 292 Y block.I wanna make her a gasser or do a 60's lowrider with her.
Thats avery fine ford truck there! My '78 f-100 is a three on the tree to! Where can i find the piston shifter, and wuits that button you keep hittin on the dash?
dude its fkin beautiful, its good to se someone else appreciating the ratrods. i got a 65 shortbed im ratrodding out as well, whitewalls baby moons chop top leapord guts the whole nine ...
My dad ordered a 59 Custom Cab, and a 60 Custom Cab Big Window came in instead. I too learned to drive and shift that column standard. He ordered the deluxe rear bumper with hitch and heavy suspension. He got 110,000 out of the first clutch. It was great through Boy Scouts and hauling a tear drop trailer to unknown parts. The bed was high enough to keep bears out at night, but a 30-30 was insurance.
I learned to drive in one of those. Too bad you can't find the stock hubcaps. Oh, gawd! You removed the rear bumper! Well, there was a lot of good pickup there, I hope you saved the parts.

I got the piston shifter at some auto supply ... even somewhere like Autozone will usually have one.
The knob on the dash is the choke. The engine wasn't quite warm when I left the driveway.
