  • I would do just about anything for a 1/6th scale vesrion. I used to have the old 80's 1/8th scale version and it was easily one of my favorite sets as a kid. I especially liked that it had diecast parts. Seeing it now it looks so much smaller than I remembered and all the new ones are even smaller. oh well, still an absolute masterpiece in concept and design. Thanx for sharing.

    Peace, Jay

  • @HotChixCoolToyReview Thanks for your comment! Yup, it would be something else if Hot Toys or some other 1/6 scale maker got the license for Robotech. I always wanted the 80s version and that's probably what compelled me to search for the figure in NYC comic and specialty anime shops during the mid-90s (before the outbreak of internet and ebay). Times were rough for toy collecting, although the comic boom and nes/snes craze compensated for it.

  • Ahh I want something like this so bad !!! It's amazing

    Great clip !!!!

  • Can someone help me out? When I was a little kid, and didn't even understand English I saw an animated movie on Super channel with one lone ranger having such a Cyclone bike, but don't remember the title. It was quite long movie, not an episode from a tv series. I even remember one big tree that had some importance in the story, but can't recall much else.

If this rings a bell for anyone who knows the title, I would appreciate if he could share it with me.

    Thanks.

  • @pbekesi I'm not sure if it's the right anime, but it kinda sound like Megazone 23

  • Fuckin' peice of junkie crapolla. I want one just to burn.

  • He has a Daft Punk helmet

  • Daaaaamn nostalgia moment I remember seeing this cartoon back when I was nine years old lol I freakin' loved this show XD.

  • @Rockerninja329 Yeah, that's about the same time I saw it. I only watched the new generation though, never got into macross.

  • WOW great video!!!

    soo cool

    congratulations

    greetings from chile

  • it looks good in 0:36 - 1:20. the surroundings make it look real

  • Excellent but Robotech stuff is out of my pay-scale. Fuck, just this piece alone, I can get +15 Marvel Universe figs. Love the pics though, maybe someday if I win the lottery!!!

  • Most toys they make these days are junk!! Hot toys are probably the only thing worth collecting.

  • It's more a doll than a figure!

  • This thing is total crap!

    Gakken rules, toynami sucks d!@$!

  • COOL! I have both Scott and Rand and they are AWESOME! I love how when in armor mode the figure feels tight and heavy. It's totally worth the money.

  • So so awesome!

  • I wonder what this would look like done the way I did my custom Blade or Wolverine (on his cycle) using that pose you have him @ 2:35

  • You know it really cool the way you combine a review and story at the same time. Great still shots at 0:44 and 2:35. I don't know who the figure is (sorry fans) but the design is crisp. Cool that the bike becomes put of the weapon.Wished that Transformers would combine themselves with other figures (kinda like in the Avatar suit.

  • Finally have my Masterpiece Rand on the way, Got it at BBTS for 130 including shipping.

  • nice vid man. glad to see someone giving robotech it's due.

  • Scott bernard ? Is that the bastardized robotech name of the glorious Stick Bernard ? Well, it could have been worse i guess...At least it's close. Anyway, love the Megahouse version more than this one.

  • @Addams1x1 no. it's the name of the invid warrior in third chapter of the robotech saga. dick!

  • Bungie HAD to get ideas from this, you cant resist the polygonal Armour

  • great vid!!!

    oh yeah,

WE ARE ANGRY TOYNAMI!!! = NO LANCER AND ROOK Versions!!!

WE OFFICIALLY DemanD The last 2 Masterpieces!!!

  • @novaflo339 Thanks, man. Yup, a Rook and Lancer figures would be so awesome.

  • @novaflo339 Couldn't agree more. Lancer's Bike was my favorite to.

  • @novaflo339 BEAGLE is the company that actually made the Ride-Armors and Toynami went in with them to cover productions costs, some where along the line Beagle blew it and no more Cyclones, There was a Prototype Rook at one Anime Show, Hopefully Toynami can get it and pick up where they left off. Yellow-Lancer & a Shinobu/Sue Graham version too!!

  • @novaflo339 I actually have a lancer version but it's a model, not a toy like this. So mine is unpainted, not nearly as durable and doesnt come with a lot of the extra stuff you see around 1'00".

  • Great vid of an Amazing piece! I have both Scott & Rand and I'm lovin' the detail & size. Hope they continue the line.

  • Wow! This is so much better than transformers. very sophisticated piece. Love the way how you make this video. Cool it moved...

  • such a classic song. brings back memories.

WOW that looks so bad ass.

  • Thanks a lot, Rey. This was my favorite series from the Robotech trilogy. I liked the Shadow Chronicles movie as well, and The End of the Circle book..couldn't quite get enough of New Generation!
