  • damn dat voice

  • look russians clap in the shows. HOW WASTE TIME CLAPING IN A PINK FLOYD SHOW?

  • Why didn't PINK FLOYD include this song, A NEW MACHINE, & TERMINOL FROST on the cd and vhs releases of DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER?

  • Awesome! Rick's keyboards and synths at the end of the song sounds pretty amazing.

  • love this version of this song...so catchy

  • worst version ever..... the song and PF rock.... but this live version really really sucks

  • @CivilianInRange THE FUCK?! This version is fucking awesome! just listen the voice of David Gilmour, its damn powerful

  • @CivilianInRangeYou need your hearing checked.

  • "Big brother is watching you" my son!!! WELCOME!!!

  • Fucking badass. I remember randomly hearing this on a Classic Rock Radio only a couple months ago, and fell in love with how it sounded.

  • @danimal97520

    "facepalm"

I've heard that song all the time on the radio... I told you I was a noob at names...

  • @danimal97520

Thanks bro, that sounds more realistic so I'll go check out the other song... I'm kind of a noob when it comes to names of songs and bands ( even though I've heard classic rock all my life) but I know good music when I hear it...

  • best keyboard of all their songs

  • What DVD / VHS is this from?

  • Somebody said something about it being if Nazis took over the world, edit me if you guys know anything else.

  • @Chinatownsoverseer No, according to the band at the time, it's about the evils of the record companies. A new artist coming in, getting sucked in and then realizing they are part of the machine. Have A Cigar takes the story further

  • Anybody know the story behind this song?

  • gilmour at his best here wish the whole concert was posted

  • better than the recorded version

  • gilmour`s voice is timeless

  • These ruskies are really bad at fist pumping thats for sure.

  • Among all the other awesome things you could say about Floyd, one must also note that they do a heck of a live show.

  • when im at work,i feel like the machine...

  • fucking high bro

  • David gilmour is singing this.hes the machine...remember,roger is not with the band any more, off in left field doing circles, like my sperm,i guess its retarted...

  • David gilmour is singing this.hes the machine...

  • When the young Woodstock Warrior was being blackmailed by the Police State to work for them, the Captain said, “Welcome my son, Welcome to the Machine.”

The Warrior replied, “Fuck you too!”

  • awesome track :)

  • awesome...

  • This song can easily drive someone crazy.

  • Супер!

  • Que buenos graficos! Y era 1989 mis respetos!!

  • why is world of warcraft in the sugention bar?

  • david gilmour's such a phenomenal singer!

  • Probably better than studio version.

  • who could picture it there? with number of VC

  • in soviet russia,, machine welcomes you

  • who is singing this on...this can't be Waters or Waters catched a cold

  • @DEADSHADOW777 it's Gilmour singing.

  • @cercina apparently ur not a pink floyd fan my friend.

  • @DEADSHADOW777 In 89 waters wasn´t playing with pink floyd anymore!!

  • @DEADSHADOW777 Waters was no longer part of Pink Floyd in 1989.

  • @DEADSHADOW777

    LOL.

he left PF before this concert.

and he never sang this song.

  • @turtlliwdnifuoyehthr He sings it live in his solo act. There's several videos of it on there.

  • @DEADSHADOW777 Of course it's not Waters... it's Gilmour, you know the one with talent.

  • @DEADSHADOW777 Gilmour sings in the studio version 2

  • @DEADSHADOW777 David Gilmour sings it on the original release of Wish you were here. Gilmour sings the lead on most of Pink Floyd's songs after 1968 with the exception of "Animals" (He sang lead on "Dog's which he wrote as "You got to be crazy") He split vocal duties with Waters on "The Wall" but I don't think he sang at all on "The Final cut". He sings ALL Pink Floyd lead vocals after 1983 - present.

  • @DEADSHADOW777 After 3 hours of singing? :) Singing and screaming ;) Normal ;)

  • Does anyone know where I can get an audio for this? I LOVE IT THANKS

  • am I correct in assuming that it's david gilmour doing the vocals? sounds like it

  • @bbeekz it is, i prefer Roger myself, but David still nails it in his own way

  • More psicodelism than that? Watch this show smoking marijuana

  • people are stupid 20,000 views what the fuck quit watching Justin biebers faggot ass

  • @burnerthief Rodger had quit by then..

  • what about roger waters?

  • el que grabo esto estaba hasta casa de la chingada

  • I really wish the guy waving his fist infront of the camera would've stopped. Not only did it block the view, it just looks idiotic. I almost have a sympathetic embarrassment for him.

  • Just marijuana is more psicodelic than this.

  • @WateverBr that's a theory ! lol!

  • More psicodelism than that ?? Smoke marijuana.

  • fantastic

  • R.I.P Richard Wright

  • in soviet russia, machine welcomes you

  • @2003jackb LMFAO!!!

  • @2003jackb nice!!!!!!

  • Tim renwick at 4:38

  • I had no idea this was played post-waters. Gilmour didn't sing it perfect on the album so I thought he avoided it. He does a pretty good job here though. Love it.

  • Excellent cut!

Friends, this music has no less than 35 yrs... It's a great musical piece as well as a technological prodigy. In the 70s synths were just beggining, but these guies made them to sound great!

  • Pink Floyd playing Welcome to the Machine live in Moscow.

Wonder if the Russkies saw the irony in that.

  • @godzillasmother i wonder if you have any respect for anyone outside your village, or where is it that you happen to live.

  • @sllusus I don't see how that is disrespectful...or do u actually cinsider Russia a non-machine country?

  • @Randomnameezz *consider...

  • @godzillasmother what's the irony ? please answer :)

  • @godzillasmother

I find more irony in the fact you have such a biased impression of Russia.

This song would be even more fitting for the US population being assimilated into their hyper religious extremist war machine, in which they gladly die for their masters' fascist military regime.

  • @megatroll Good point well made.

  • @megatroll This song is about the music industry. The record company corporate "machine". Waters hated, ...hated it.

  • @godzillasmother а чем ты лучше, мой друг ?

  • @godzillasmother well actually id say, here the machine is referring to a more capitalist style society where people are slave to their wants, working a hell life in hopes of riding jaguars and eating steak at bars. wellcome to this society which eats your life but you cant escape. but thats just what i think, who knows wat floyd thought

  • @aryarish

I'm pretty sure "the machine" refers the record industry circa 1973-4, the whole album was about their experiences in the process of becoming rich and famous. Biting the hand that fed them basically!

  • @godzillasmother no they didn't they were all so stupid...

Unlike us in the West... that we do not allow any Machine to rule our lives...

  • @cbouyio

respect for the irony...yet, i doubt he understood it :)

  • I love this song...

  • Great song raridade so para loucos ( just for crazy people)

  • Sounds like two audio sources were used and they overlap in the beginning and it sounds pretty f*ed up at 0:48 til 1:00 but from then on it's awesome!

  • Sounds Great!!!!!!

Thank you for posting this! Chills every time . . .

    Thank you!

    ~~ Luna

  • Turns out this is the Melbourne audio over a different show's video source... might not want to mislead people with false information, regardless of the good intentions
