  • cool

  • and can you get a great metal sound out of this amp like early metallica to disturbed to ironmaiden sound?

or does it have to take a metal pedal by the tone without voice wich is the all tube clean??

  • does it work well with a jackson guitar???

  • What is voice 16?

  • I think voicing nr° 7 sounds fantastic!!!!!!!!!

  • How loud does it get?

  • Exceptional demo. Exceptional playing. Thanks!

  • bass full?...but no real bass...i notice you had the treble down too...very tinny otherwise....?

  • bugera v22 vs this

  • The way amp demos should all be. Less talk, more play :)

  • Will this be good for Van Halen?

  • Hahaha, I can tell the sounds that really inspire you..... :)

  • 14 for a slash kinda' tone.

  • @MaxNathanielJames At least with a tele, I use some hotter pups and it sounds nothing like that…

  • Whoaw shat a great demo. Usually demos on this amp are people playing on one setting. Wich isn't very helpful with an amp like this. Thanks

  • what is that last melody you play?? it nice!

  • hey man could you get a distorted tone out of this? like without a pedal

  • @tenneseestud did you not watch the video?

  • Great demo THANKS!

  • man you sure love that bass

  • i like your style of playing :P

  • Looks like you have the bass cranked all the way and the treble on 3.5.

  • Excellent demo.

  • I was fortunate to luck into a good deal on one of these with a few mods - JJ Tubes, Eminence Copperhead speaker, and a 'name' transformer (same guy who designed the original transformer, but from his shop - the name escapes me right now). I haven't been able to A-B with a stock one, except for the smaller Vibro Champ XD I already had, nor with the 'real' amps it emulates. But it definitely captures some classic tones and makes a fine recording amp and lots o' fun to practice on.

  • I play my Pink Paisley Tele through one of these amps and it sounds great for country pickin . . size is no issue, I either run line out or mic it . . I love it

  • whi is the song you play at 1:15?

  • @morrixon2 i want you back by jackson 5

  • to me it sounds like an amp with no balls...somehow the clean modells sound like the typical amp simulations not like a real tubeamp...

I guess its an modelingamp with additional tubes which makes everthing a little bit pretty and warmer..

  • I don't understand... Reverb isn't actually very attractive effect.

  • what is the tune you are playing at 2.24? Sounds good.

  • Were these voices played with an amp effect or not?

  • @journeyquest1

Only the amp reverb, nothing else.

  • @lolrotoboy That leads to the next question Is the reverb adjustable and if so how much did you use? Some of the other reviews sounded different with reverb.

  • @journeyquest1

In the effects section, you can choose the kind of reverb (hall, spring...etc). I don't remember the one that I used...3 years ago!

  • Nice run through of this amp. Thanks for posting this.

  • Nice dude

  • number 8 sounds like a Bassman

  • I love and want Great tube tones but I have a real problem . I live in a attached house with many close neighbors . I desire a tube amp with good tone when it's played at very low volumes . Money is less of an issue . Any sugestions other than moving ? Thxs , Jerry .

  • What is the differnece between this amp and the vibro champ.

  • @dieandgoaway louder. boooooom.

  • has this amp an effects loop and how does it behave with pedals?

  • Hi . ive just bought today the Fender SuperChamp XD and i dont know why it doesnt works i can only hear something like a low fuzz or something, the guy of the shop told me to wait a little bit so the amp could get loaded or something (sorry my bad english) ii waited like 10 minutes and it was still the same Please respond

  • are you using the foot switch?

  • @crashmin64 what doesnt it work with footswitch?

  • How many watts?

  • @masonrox2547 15w

  • Number 4. Old Rolling Stones.

  • There is definitely something a bit hard, bright and gritty about this amp.

  • cost/performance ratio is incredible!

  • i love this amp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Perfect demostration of this amp!!!

    very nice playing!

  • Comment removed

  • How is the sustain on the saturated channels of the amp? Do you think it would be good for lead guitar (Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, that kind of stuff) ?

  • I can get this little baby for 300$, and i think it sounds like a pretty good deal? :)

    Any opinions? :)

  • thanks for the mj licks!!!! you rock

  • 1-3 tweed with added gain,4-6 black face with added gain,7-9 britishw/ added gain,10-12 fender hotrod seriesw/added gain,13-14 high gain metal tones,15 jazz,16 for acoustic finger picking playing

  • thanks a lot : )

  • I just got this amp yesterday, and I could not be happier. : )

  • i want this baby

  • just played one of these bad boys tonight at the music shop! I didn't wanna leave it, it's amazing! I have a hot rod deluxe but i'm still going to get one of these asap for recording and as a backup for gigs. The effects were really impressive too, the tremolo was so sweet, and its nice to have that real tube feel and I would probably have fun with some of those effects but would make good use of the reverb and delay. Really cool amp, played it through an american special strat

  • I just baught this amp and it is great! I only payed 299.99 for it. I will recomend this amp to anyone! : )

  • Extremly versatile amp!

  • hey do you think a gibson sg standard will go well with this amp? will this be able to do well on the ac/dc songs?

  • @Danyanz Don't be a rip off, get original.

  • Ummm 16??

  • @idog6204 #16 gives your electric guitar an acoustic sound. not bad.

  • voice 15= amazing

  • Very nice video, timings tight. Its Fender with many faces indeed.

J'hesitais à acheter cet ampli mais là j'me lance !

    add to favorite, 5*

    Cordialement, GV

  • @gr3g117

hello, merci...

  • what song was used for voicing five?

  • @andr3wbr1an Jackson 5- I Want You Back

  • @andr3wbr1an jackson 5 song I want you back

  • Voice 5: Cool Modest Mouse vibe tone!

  • nice !! i've just a question for you ^^ with this amp and a multi effect (zoom g2) and a gibson SG special faded do you think we can have a good tone for AC/DC ?

thanx !! (sorry for my english i'am french) also verry nice test !!

  • @ThePierrre

Ca tombe bien, moi aussi... ;-)

  • @ThePierrre

Tant que tu ne me chantes pas "tea for two" à poil dans un Hamam... ;-)

  • i have this amp and it is great i usually keep it at the 7-9 voicings...is it just me or does it seem like the hot rod voicing 12 sounds pretty bad i feel, it says its supposed to be the highest gain and more sustain but to me it sounds really cheap and doesnt even ring out that much

  • I just got this amp today and love it. It's super versatile and this vid proves it. Great playing.

  • really goooooooooooood demo, keep on it : )

  • uuuu.. en el 13 tiene mi sonido ;)

  • fuck marshall its all about vox orange and fender

  • Cool demo, roto. Sounds pretty good for 300 bucks.

  • Hi, cool playing....;-) I'm thinking of getting this amp to my Tele - would you recommend it? Also, any mods? Speakers, tubes? Thanks, Jonas

  • @JonasSweden1

Perfect for the Tele, remember that it's a bedroom amp. Not powerful enough to play with a metal drummer.... You don't need to change anything on this amp.

  • @lolrotoboy

Hi, thanks. Yeah, picked one up and I think it sounds really, great with

the Tele as you said. Also works well with my LP.

  • Very helpful, thanks! And great playing.

  • did Clapton ever play on a Vox then? i think it's just Fender trying not to mention their competitors (Marshall) by name. I am sure it's early Marshall tone.

  • hey due, cool playin! what is voice number 7 supposed to sound like? early marshalls or what? be very glad if u could solve this dilemma for me! i found 7 really does the job playing Clapton(Cocaine) on a standard fender strat with middle pickups and the treble set to 6 on the amp

  • @sllusus

I think voice n° 7 is Vox emulation. But I'm not sure....

  • @lolrotoboy well i think it's Fender being cheeky and not naming their competitors by name. Clapton never played on a Vox in his early days and it seems to me like the only likely candidate for voice number 7 is indeed a Marshall.

  • i got this amp and love it...when i want to get loud i use the line out in the back and plug that into the effects loop in on my hot rod deluxe..(DONT put it into the regular guitar input it will blow up the deluxe input stages) WOW!!!!!!! turns this little jewel into a monster!!!!!..Fender if your watching..MAKE A TUBE POWERED SUPER DELUXE XD!!!!

  • @johncartelli They do, it's called the Deluxe Vintage Modified.

  • @usefulcoin you misunderstood me...I want one with the modelling not the fxs... the deluxe vm just has the chrus, delay etc... not the 16 different models...they need to put the champs preamp section in front of their40 watt deluxe power amp...then Id buy TWO.....

  • I watched these vids and bought this amp, the amount of people who ask me after a gig what amp that is is generally 4 times a night, here i play the kinks rather drunkly! on voice 2 all cranked up to 10 and a ragin cagun speaker replacement

  • @sixtysecondsilence plus it aint mic'd up either

  • is it worth to change the tubes of the SCXD

  • @JUan30119

    I don't think so.

  • @JUan30119 I guess that really depends on your idea of "worth it." It is an improvement for sure, but the amp is fine stock. I got mine used, and the past owner had swapped tubes. Side by side, there is a difference from the stock, but nothing substantial. I would rather get a nice eminence 10 inch speaker than swap tubes.

  • Is it worth to change the tubes of the SCXD

  • i just dont know why they didnt order the vocing s in the form of asending gain, like 1 bieng clean and 16 being insane or whateve,r kinda like line 6, each turn clockwise adds more gain, other than that a cool amp for under 300

  • I run a lot of pedals with my amp...would this be a wise purchase considering I'm a gigging musician?

Great playing by the way :D

  • @radiohead00000

No, with pedals you should try a full tube amp such Blues jr... etc.

SCXD is a bedroom amp, not very good for gigging.

  • Isn't a 4x12 cabinet too big? but yes it's possible, i've got the superchamp since one year, i used him for the band. Very amazing for this price you can't find a better tube-amp.

  • Could you tell me what pickups your using in your tele?

  • Twisted neck and Nocaster. Both from Fender.

  • it's possible to conect a 4x12'' cabinet to this amp?

  • love your playing thanks for going through all the voicings. helped heaps!

  • can someone point me in the right direction? when i got my amp (champ not super) it sounded all clean and nice on the first couple settings, now starting the other day i get this horrible hum and distortion no matter what setting its on, even the first 1 -2. im not experienced w/ tube amps so im lost. anyone?? thanks

  • Check your tubes, how they are plugged...etc. Looks like a tube problem...

  • THIS AMP IS THE BEST!

he sounds much much much better in real time!

their is no sound that you cant produce from him!

    nice playing btw 5\5

  • to me this amp sound really good but a bit high trebly maybe it's my speaker or just youtube.

  • Fender really is THE voice of music. Amp sounds great. Playing is great, and more proof that the Telecaster is the most versatile guitar known to man. 5*!!!

  • Yes sir, good job. You play well and you show how good the amp is.

  • anyone have any idea how do get the Aerosmith / Guns N' Roses hard rock sound withouth getting the heavy booming?

  • Get a Marshall

  • 0:44 isn't that what you are searching for?

  • would an ibanez sound ok through this? and do the voicings get confusing at all?

  • Will this be good for my B.C. rich guitar ? lmao

  • Comment removed

  • What about 16? Is that the death voice?

  • 16 is for acoustic guitar. Not really fun with an electric guitar.

  • AMAZING AMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fender best, no excuses and no stories.....

i will buy this for my 1978 Strat.

    5 stars video.

  • way to go magudude! comparing a practice amp with those two amps... so typical. THINK ABOUT WHAT THE SUPER CHAMP XD IS!!!!!!

  • Sounds really good! Me and a few guys from work rent a practice room every once in a while just for kicks. I brought my Mesa Express 5:50, one guy brought his Mark IV and the other just got the Super Champ XD. Compared to the other two amps the Champ sounded really muddy and thin, I think maybe the guy was overdoing the effects too. It sounds like a great practice amp, just don't expect it to cut like an all-tube amp in a band setting. Definitely worth the money!

  • how loud is this amp?

  • voice 1, and some 8 & 10

    are my favs

  • merci ;)

  • thanks man! appreciate it.

  • what if i want to plug a wah wah or a fuzz face in do distortion pedals sound good in this amplifier

  • It's a Fender! no problem, especially on channel 1 which is very neutral.

  • @guitarsurfer1 i use a digitech grunge pedal and i absolutely love it with my super champ

  • thanks squirly BMX appreciate it!

  • Thanks. That was actually helpful.

  • Channel 4 Phish? Sample In A Jar?

  • I purchased this amp off a guy on Craigslist. It was only a month old I think. Greatest addition to my gear so far. Unless your doing really big shows this is more than enough. The voicings are awesome.

  • for anybody who is interested, the 10 amp model is this amp's secret tonal weapon for a guitar with humbuckers, its fuckin raging bluesy goodness

  • Enorme ! Telephone :p je t'ai démasqué comaptriote !

J'aime bcp ton style et tes influences !

  • :-))

  • What guitar did you use ?

    Are 5 watts enough ?

    Thanks bro

  • This one is the 15w model. If you play only in a bedroom, 5w is enough, but... Nobody can choose the power for you!

    It's a Telecaster Custom.

  • can you connect a cab to this amp?

  • Yes, if you unplug the main speaker.

  • This sounds like a good Recording Amplifier. How does it sound miced? Have you tried to record anything with it? Its probably to quiet for a Gig setting, but I would love something like this for recording

  • For me, it's not a very good recording amp because of a lack of dynamic. However, for the price, it's not so bad.

  • about what is the price if you dont mind sharing?

  • 275 - 300 USD

  • I have recorded with it. It is horrible for a main track, but if you are doing small overdubs, it works. Some of the voicing options sound great recorded, others sound terrible. Just depends on your personal preference. As far as gigging is concerned, it's actually my preferred amp. This thing is perfect for playing small bars that actually mic your amp. My ValveKing 212 is always too loud for those gigs.. so this one fits the bill. So much easier to lug around 24 lbs than 70 lbs.

  • you play awesome

  • It's really awesome that you can create so many different sounds just by turning one dial... imagine all the stuff you could do by playing with all the knobs! Great demo!

  • What F/X Level and F/X Selection are you using?

  • HEY, there was a short "you really got me" in there :P

  • What a great sounding amp I have just bought one and the sound is great price is great CHECK ONE OUT !!!!!

  • thanks you :)

  • Probably, as it's capable of pretty heavy drive... and, it's got excellent clean tones, so distortion pedals are good friends with this amp.

  • It could with a boost.

  • you make it sound good.

    good demo

  • I have had this amp about a month and love it. The only thing I did was to put a Celestion Vintage 10" to replace the whimpy stock speaker.

I will get the new speaker in a couple of days. The stock speakers are OK...I've heard the Celestion on this site. Will make an already good amp into a GREAT amp.

  • what were you playing on channel 5???

  • Jackson five "ABC" guitar riff.

  • lol, thanks man, i had it on the tip of my tounge

  • Sure am glad I own one!

I just wanted to see what everybody else thought about them!

  • I can't believe this amp gets more views than my favorite artists. I locked up my twin, p/u a Hot Rod Blues Deluxe, that was still too big for most of the rooms I play halfta make ears bleed before it hits the sweet spot, so a friend who does excellant mods said he'd fix up a Blues jr for me. I wound up walking out of G Center $80 later with a floor model with no knobs. The band loves it, and my soundman loves to mic it. I can always bring the bigger amps but why bust a nut?

  • 114,000 hits...WOW!!! There must be something there.

  • can I run my line out into another amp and run them in sequence? Like this? SuperChamp XD Line out---------->Line 6 Flextone HD Input/?FX Return?--------->2x12 cab?
