  • Cool catch Robert!

  • BNSF Inspection train: U SBDSBD5 21.

  • Since my step dad works for the BNSF I know exactly what that is for, yea its rare for you to see but if you work for the company, it either means its the quaterly meeting or something is under investigation

  • LUCKY! Did you talked to the other BNSF crew?

  • That first car is a Track Geometry "crew support car". It may be Track Geometry Support car #81, which operates often with #80 Rio Grande River. I can't see or read anything on the car enough to positively identify it, but it looks a lot like #80.

  • Ooops, mistyped up above, that should say "looks a lot like #81" (#80 is the other car, Rio Grande River). Btw, got so excited over this forgot to say HARDCORE AWESOME CATCH!!!!

  • It is.

  • Second car "RIO GRANDE RIVER" has long interesting history: Was originally SP double decker coach SP 3700. Then was sold and became a private tour car "Sacremento" in 1992. BN bought car 1994 & renamed to "Rio Grande River"-- in 1998 BNSF renumbered to BNA #39; later renumbered again to BNSF #43. Car was then converted to a track geometry car in 2004 and became BNSF #80.

  • Wow, a really nice catch. You keep cracking me up Rob, the title is "SUPER RARE!!!!!" and then the description is all calm "this was taken in esperanza" lol.

  • Holy Shit You Caught a Unpatched BN

  • That's BNSF's track geometry train. Nice catch, btw. :)

  • Awesome video! You see trains like that all the time over Cajon. That was a track inspection train. 5*

  • well i have been to cajon almost 1 once a week for like 3 months and never seen these cars! know i have seen work trains up in cajon!

  • Woah Nice catch! maybe it was an officer's special?

  • the first car maybe, but the last car had something to do with the track!

  • i call it "holy shit" lol kool train and a meet makes it better

  • put "A Special BNSF Train"

  • i agree it would be a BNSF inspection train there and i have seen only 2 videos of BNSF excursion cars nice job catching this 1 Robert!
