Thanks. I wasn't expecting anything huge just a mid to upper thirty's setup is what I was anticipating. I have a 300m and I'm thinking it'll probably Make my sh't rattle like crazy
Do you have a rough idea of any kind of numbers you hit with this setup? I have 2 10's in a sealed right now with 1000 watt kenwood. Wired to 2 ohms 500 watts rms. I'm buying a ported box. 1.75 cubes per sub and wondering what kinda numbers I can hit
@95oldsaurora not much. at most i would hit upper 130's. i couldnt tell you now, because this truck was totaled a while back. but it wasnt bad for what it was.
@GuerillaClaws dont be mad because you cant afford anything here. why dont you just go back into your parents house and play your runescape little boy.
pretty nice setup u got here, not a fan of the wires but if it gets u by then no complaints, i love the somp subs, im runnin 2 12''s myself on a old skool kicker impulse amp, i can turn the amp on n off aswel but with a switch instead of a equilzer
@XxNUGGETxX34 i went on the drivers side under a shield that was there, i unbolted the shield and drilled through, and it came up right next to the brake pedal. after that i just ran it under the carpet back to my amp.
1996 chevy c1500. i no longer have the truck. it got totaled out, i would have posted a video of it, but for some reason youtube wont let me upload a video at all
do you think the bass hits harder when the subs and port are facing the front seats or sub and port facing up im going to do a build on my truck and wanted to know how i should face my port and sub
@RedFredBeardie yea, i had them wired in parallell, when they are wired in parallel they can handle twice the power, so each sub could handle 600, so all in all i was under powering the subs
@4cylstang just about. it realy depends on the EQ, but if it is a newer EQ it should just hook up in-line with the rca's. it is actually very easy to hook up. u just hook it up like an amp with the power, ground, and remote, the only difference is that insted of a sub out from the radio you use a rear out and let the EQ filter the bass through to the amp. it will be a lot cleaner and more precise signal, and using the rear out allows you to also run mid&high amps easier and with cleaner sound
lol alright well i doubt i'll be putting a 1200 watt amp on them, but how was the 800 watt rms amp...did it start to burn them up after you had them playing for awhile or what?
@itzjusmee419 naw the 800 rms amp didnt burn them at all. it worked like a dream as long as they were wired in series. these are 8 ohm subs that take 300 watts. when you wire them in series it halves the ohms and doubles the power that the subs can take. so instead of 300 watt 8 ohm subs it was like i had 600 watt 4 ohm subs. and it was hella loud. i highly recommend wiring in series with more power. it works nicely
@itzjusmee419 in this video i had an old insignia 1000 watt amp. i now have a1500 watt jbl amp on them. that box is long gone now, i believe that that box was tuned to 42htz. my new box is tuned to 28htz, and let me tell you that made everything thump. i pull into my favorite audio shop autosound and all their windows start shaking. be on the lookout this winter. i am going to wall off the back seat and put 4 18s in it is going to get crazy loud.
@basebone2006 hmmm...28hz, ive never tuned any of my boxes below 32hz i have the same speakers in a ported box tuned to 32 hz on just a kicker kx400.1 and that shit slaps pretty hard, whats the RMS on that amp cuz i know i can give these speakers more power but i dont wanna burn my amp up in the process
@itzjusmee419 i think the rms on the old amp was like 800 watts. the rms on the new amp is around 1200. but if you decide to use that much power be careful. if i have them going long enough i can start to smell them burn up
Kicker zx2500.1, zx350.4, 2 jl c5-570, 2 kinetik hc 2400's, 1/0awg kicker hyperflex wire, alpine ida-x303, and then 2 12" pioneer ts-w306's they're just temp subs til I get my BTL.
I don't see how he's right? Right about what? The cost for wire, a box, a battery, Fi Bl, and an amp would be around $1200-1400. I never siad anything is wrong w/ ur kickers. It would be a waste of $ to get 6. If u bought them at retail it would be $600ish. I have nothing bad to say about kicker, because I used kicker before.
Its called constructive criticism. And your the one who commented me in the beginning. Rockford makes great amps but the subs are way over priced. And that's cool about ur subs. You came onto me talking shit so don't get butt hurt.
Ok kid. Welll just to let you know I had this system when I was 16. Don't be mad because I'm knowledgeable and you have no clue. Know your shit before you talk shit. And when your my age you'll be a drop out in prison. Good luck kid. Oh and also, dumbass, I have kicker CVR's! This guy has COMP's! Cvr's are 400 rms comp's are 150 do the math genius!
Its your dumb or you are dumb. I think your the dumb one. And think about it lil kid. 6 kicker comps are only 1000watts rms. And the box would be maybe big enough to have the max cubes. A single Fi BL can take 1500+ rms. Put it in 6 cubes and it will be louder than the six. I competed against a guy w/ 6 kicker comps. He hit 145ish, while I hit 148.2. I had less cone area but twice as much power. So a single sub would be louder and cheaper. You FAIL. 6 comps might be loud to you...
do you think 2 12" kickers would fill up a yukon?
