@daviddcurtison Mark O'Connor's people notified me that he was thirteen years old when this was recorded. I had erroneously written that he was fourteen. The mistake was totally mine. I hope I am forgiven.
I loved Winfield KS Bluegrass/Flatpicking Festival. I saw Mark perform there along with Norman Blake, Tut Taylor, Alison Krauss, and a host of others in 1974 and 1975. I've lived far away from the Midwest a long time, but I still follow Bluegrass. Mark O'Connor came and performed in a local high school's beautiful new Arts Theatre building in Ipswich, Massachusetts near where I live now. He has got to be one of the most sincere and unaffected stars I've ever met.
I'm listening to Mark O'Connor right now. My favourite album/cd is called On The Mark. It features "March of the Pharoahs", "Bowtie" and "Pacific Expectations", my favourite music pieces by Mark O'Connor.
@Seattlecarnut this album has comforted over the years, ,,march of the pharoahs is one of my all time feel good songs

Does anyone have a tab of Mark's guitar part?

These pictures must have been taken during the severe razor shortage of the 70's.

What a fine musician and artist he has grown - and is continuing to grow - into! Check out Mark's myspace page. A delight in every way!

Wonderful history lesson. Seeing Mark play brings back fond musical memories of his many performances on TNN's "The American Music Shop."
