with tears in my eyes , i say to you what an amazing tribute to the honourable hero's who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country ,GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU !!!
This is such a moving song and should have been played today at the Armistice Day Parade in Whitehall. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. My thoughts are with all our servicemen and women wherever they are.
No one will distribute this song for nothing, and it's a fact of life that the day I stop profits from sales going to charity there will be a deal on the table.
Thank you for your kind comments. In the short time the video has been on 'Youtube' and Facebook 'Causes' we have had over 170,000 hits and many many comments like yours. It would be great if a major took it on and we will keep trying.
Thanks you so much for posting this, I've been moved ot tears, not only by the words and music, but by the children's participation and obvious understanding shown on their faces. It's so very important for youngsters to learn and remember the history of England and be aware of the outcomes of wars. The wonderful people of Wooton Bassett are to be commended for their unfailing support of the fallen young soldiers and their grieving families. How proud I am to be British! God Bless.
@Girly2shoes Thank you from all servicemen, but England only supply a fraction of the brave young men who have given thier lives so we don't have to. There are Welshmen, Scots, irish, Fijians, Togans, Indian, Pakistani, Jamaican, & all the countries of the Queens Commenwealth & beyond. Please dont think I'm being facecious, but WE ALL play a part in this war xxx
@04yis05 Just to put your mind at rest Girly2shoes I wrote the song to reflect the pain and suffering felt by all of those effected by war regardless of conflict or country; it's all the same. It was only after the song was recorded that we actually decided to dedicate it to a suitable charity and then subtle it A song for Wootton Bassett. And I do know that people from all over the world have adopted the song for their very own personal cause. AP

Absolutely fabulous as a tribute to a most wonderfull town and the tribute it and its poersons pay to the " Forever young"
Godbless one and all from the forever young and those of us who can grow old because of their sacrifice I THANK YOU WOOTTON BASSETT.AS DO THE REST OF THE UK.
What an absolutely beautiful song, It reduced me to tears, I hope and pray we don't have to see to many more of our service personnel return home this way.
I sincerely hope this beautiful tribute to our Heroes and to the people of Wootton Bassett is released as a single and all proceeds go to Help For Heroes..Lets spread the word people and let people listen to this moving tribute.. RESPECT
@Mnagetfu None whatsoever my friend. Completely two different songs; two different themes; and two different melodies. There are loads of songs called Forever Young; you can't copyright a title. No, my inspiration for writnig this song was a BBC reporter who when signing off from reporting on yet another repatriation, simply said they are coming home forever young; and I don't think his name was Bob Dylan. I love Bob's work and I hope he likes this tribute to our fallen? Thanks Alan Pettifer
I cried when I heard this, I have a son, and I am so lucky that I can see him come through the door, and sleep in his bed.
Everyone is so proud of what our SOLDIERS young and old do on our behalf, and we are all so proud of them.
We are so very proud and thankful, for what Wootton Bassett are doing on our behalf. Please give my respects to all of the unfortunate troops to pass through Wooton Bassett., and raise your cap for me. God bless our HEROES. We Will Remember Them.
We have just listened to this wonderful and fitting tribute. Well done. It brought tears to our eyes. "FOREVER YOUNG" is a beautiful tribute. We will always be grateful and in debt to the wonderful, kind and caring people of Wootten Bassett who welcome home our fallen heroes on our behalf. We are so proud of our brave soldiers, and of you. We will remember them always. RIP. Thank you so much
What a magnificent tribute not only to our fallen heroes, but also to the continued homage paid by those who live in and around Wootton Basset. Let us never forget these brave young men are dying for our freedom to express ourselves without fear. To all those men and women who continue to serve and protect us...wherever they may come from in the world...............I thank you Freedom doesn´t come free.
i was half ecpecting a rip off of jay-z's song. how pleasantly surprised i am! this is a beautiful song, and Wootton Bassett you are doing our country proud. Our next troops to come through in this ridiculous life loosing battle please pass on my respect. Thank you.

Alan ~ I just want to let you know that your lyrics are 'spot on ' . They have captured the intense feelings that 'we' as former Servicemen and Women have towards our fallen 'Brothers in Arms' that are Repatriated .
This is such a poignant song and video, it really touches the heart when you listen to it. I'm sure it will be played many many times. Gone But NEVER Forgotten. RIP
Just watched your great production. Very professional in all parts. I loved the song and the way you all performed it. Musical a top notch level and beautiful voices.

Greetings and all the best for your musical future
As the writer of the song I would just like to publicly thank all those who have joined me in making it such a success. Many thousands of pounds have already been banked for the charity Afghan Heroes, and that's just a wonderful feeling. The song say's it all, least we forget so keep buying the Cd's and God, Bless you all. Alan Pettifer.
This is a very poignant song. As a Wootton Bassett resident I have attended many repatriations and been heartbroken to see sights like a soldier's baby in the arms of his friends - never to meet his father; and a grandmother being helped as she walks away in tears. They're still giving their tomorrows. With its hymn-like quality, I expect this song will be sung whenever the fallen are remembered - once news of it spreads.
@cooljazzer Have posted this to my facebook profile. Let the world know how proud we are of these young people giving their lives for us. God Bless Them All
