Has anyone noticed that of all other types of music, Metal is the only music that appeared and disappeared within twenty years. I listen to heavier stuff like Maiden and Dio, but Tesla was good too. I play Guitar Hero because it's fun and challenging, it introduces me to new music I wouldn't hear otherwise, and it's fun to play with friends, not because it makes me feel like a rockstar. I also play real guitar. They're both enjoyable, and, to be honest, I don't prefer one over the other.

@FiReFoXx8383 I used to like guitar hero, but then I spent more time on the real guitar and once I was able to play through a couple of songs I just didn't find it fun anymore. Real guitar just feels like much more of an accomplishment.

@Venomn1 That's like saying "Call of Duty is for lameo's who can't kill real terrorists." Acknowledge the line between a video game and real life. I play Guitar Hero because it's fun and challenging, it introduces me to new music I wouldn't hear otherwise, and it's fun to play with friends, not because it makes me feel like a rockstar. I also play real guitar. They're both enjoyable, and, to be honest, I don't prefer one over the other.
However, I agree with the second part of your statement.

@FiReFoXx8383 I used to like guitar hero, but then I spent more time on the real guitar and once I was able to play through a couple of songs I just didn't find it fun anymore. Real guitar just feels like much more of an accomplishment.

In relation to the Guitar Hero choice here, I really don't know why they picked this over EZ Come EZ Go, but I mean, this is one of the albums on regular rotation in my stereo, so I won't say I'm upset about Tesla being in at all.

I mean really, it's a bloody computer game. People play it because it's fun, not to compensate for anything. Like I've said, I'm a fairly advanced guitarist yet I enjoy the GH games. It's just a game, get over it.

And what I said is that there's no correllation, which there isn't, as I know people (myself included) who play real guitar as well as this game. What you said is that "most" people substitute real guitar for the game. "Most" would mean over 50% of people who play the game, and you can't possible know that statistic for a fact.

I dont play GH, I play real guitar and was playin on Sunset strip in Hollywood in the 80s with alot of these bands, but I gotta say thanks to GH because if not for it alot of great music would not get heard by younger audiences
