  • One day the grounds will sway

  • If it wasn't for Depeche Mode, and Al Joruguersen I doubt this band would be know and influential.

  • @das81

    Herp dee derp!

  • @r3pl1kazt47 Yo mama!, and while you are at it, look for DAF's "under the stars", they ripped off that song.

  • @r3pl1kazt47 Derp pee dee you are the dumb!

  • They are influenced by Kraftwerk.

  • If it wasnt for Kraftwerk, Front 242 or Nitzwer Ebb we might not have the great music know as EBM

  • Comment removed

  • it sounds like Nitzer EBb and Kraftwerk together

  • So many great Front 242 tracks are still missing, too bad I only had them on an audio tape which I played so often until it broke (I was a teenager back then, forgive my piracy :-) )

  • I love this tune very, very, very, very much i would love to be on stage with them doing collaboration on the vocals to this awesome tune, brilliant

  • I love the synthesizer, it has lost a key: P

  • awesome totally love this NEW WAVE sound synth pop new wave rocks, i am total new wave freak, lots synth, germanic vocals and oddity

  • i just love that old 80s techno sound, this is just too cool :)

  • @cesaregomix - They're Belgians, kind Sir.

  • Does anybody can tell me wath synth patrick coudenys is playing on in this clip?

  • @0207steve Yamaha CS40m

The CS-40m is a duophonic (2-voice) analog synthesizer that was introduced in 1980.

  • @0207steve EMU Emulator?

  • Youth today is listening to stupid hip hop... Where are this cool times and music gone?

    Wake up youth...

  • Wow! I was only 15teen then...still remember the first time I heard it! It changed my life!

  • This is the last order TO DANCE! Why don't you feel the beat?

  • better djs back in the day would mix this with stuff like kraftwerk, throbbing gristle, chicago house and disco trax sometimes augmented with drum machines. what a time...

  • first 18 seconds or so is pure disco, nothing more...

  • @imaherrrbb you're an idiot.

  • What about Nitzer Ebb , Skinny Puppy later

  • DAF invented EBM I think you will find.

  • Def a fave of my mid 80s - had the bonus 7"

  • There is some imagination between them :)

  • I think this is earlier than 1984...?

  • Certainly not later than that, 1982 maybe.

Thanks for sharing multi2thecore, any extra info you have about this video would be appreciated. Tough to find on their old stuff.

  • he says "react" ;)

  • some chaos here, but who i'm to give the opinon,... DREUNK! prost!

  • this is electronic body music E.B.M.

  • Does he says "BIATCH" at 2:40 ? :D

  • yes

  • I dont know if it is BIATCH or REACT...

  • Better than their later stuff... By far...

  • Man how i like this music, i can't believe they call techno electronic music, THIS IS ELECTRONICA!!

  • This is Electronic Body Music; EBM.

  • errr, actually scalawaggy...

The term EBM was first used to describe Kraftwerk in 1978, next to fall into the genre was Front 242, other industrial bands soon followed.

Please check your facts before correcting people :]

  • Actualy Throbbing Gristle(TG) came into Industrial first(VERY FIRST, EVER!!!) and then they tried ot use the "EBM" idea(wihh was'nt really a official gwenre at that time) but you cna hear tracksl ike "Convincing People" "Something Came over Me" and ofc "Hot On The Heels Of Love" that they invented the Industrial+EBM Sound, later came Front 242 and continued evolving.

Kraftwerk = EDM Inventers and pioner

Throbbing Gristle = Industrial and EBM(start) inventers and Front 242 invented EBM fully.

  • love the keyboardist thrusting away at the keyboard.. thats the shit.. lol

  • this is fucking awesome! i love them!

  • Hey, features live vocals!!! GREAT!

  • i enjoy this group so much,i only discovered them last year when listening to headhunter

  • This is the song that made me buy a drum pad machine.

  • Nice to know :)

  • This is absolutely Top Notch!

    Best Regards

  • More inventive than Kraftwerk. Bad comparison if you ask me.

  • Kraftwerk was formed almost 15 years earlier than F242. I like both bands and have been to concerst of both bands, but for me it's not possible to say, which is better or more inventive. Because as you say they are hard to compare. Yes both make electronic music and oc F242 was influenced by Kraftwerk a lot.

If you talk about invention of electronic music you have to mention Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre first. They started in the late 60's and early 70's.

  • If it's about influence on electronic music from the late 60's tilt today, then everybody has to admit that Bands like F242, Frontline Assembly, Leatherstrip, Skinny Puppy...... have influenced most of the following electronic music and the musicians.

  • What about Throbbing Gristle ? They started the whole industrial thing. That's where 242 got most of their influence from not Kraftwerk. That's why I said bad comparison. Nothing industrial about Kraftwerk.

  • Kraftwerks first album Autobahn is from 74 if Im not mistaken,,,

Before that they had another band(dont remember the name) noteble for that band was a roadcone in white and pink

  • i think throbbing gristle were around the same time as kraftwerk weren't they?

either way i'd say kraftwerk were more inventive in the more literal sense..they were starting from scratch where as F242 had something to continue from....all amazingly good bands though

Grande comentario y grandisimos FRONT!

  • seriously ,whats happening at 3:48 ? that little clip

  • Front 242 RULES! I lived in Brussels for five years, around the time these guys were at the heights of their genius. And they know how to boogie, too.

  • inventive, abstract, melodic, artful..........

  • here we are over 20 years later...and this is still great music!

thats when you know its classic...great music...spans time!

Front 242 will live longer than any of us!!!

    LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH!

  • better than kraftwerk, nikés les papys

  • The best band of EBM

    Greetings
