  • Thumbs up if you put game genie on to beat this game i did so your not alne

  • The Best Ever !!!!!

  • Wow. This game was so hard, it explicitly said "Hard to beat!!" on the box! And it was an N.E.S. game, so that was saying a lot without the written warning! Dang.

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?

Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page!

  • i just typed "best videogame intro" and this popped out ... >:)

  • I love retro games and their sound tracks I really do......but I mean, I'm still glad they improved as far as graphics and interactive properties are concerned. Why does nostalgia cause people to hate the present so much. Video games were art then, and they're are now.

  • Man, I remember this game being so damn badass. It was a cut above the rest with its story too. When characters start sacraficing themselves, so you could put an end to the villains of the game, you start to get that sense you're alone in this, even if the gameplay didn't change one bit. It was the first time I ever felt anything for the characters I was playing.

The intro cinematic set the tone for the whole thing too. :) (Which is where this song plays.)

  • it gives me the chills

  • this game has a very awesome intro. yeah the graphic of the ps3 and the 360 of many games are better, but the epic content of nes games such as this can never be replaced.

  • considering the probably only had about 12 notes or something on computers back in those days, this is a really good effort and deserves a place in the list I think

  • Who'se the redhead/Brownhaired girl?

  • @TheRealVordox Lady Gaga.

  • @TheRealVordox Irene Lew. Ryu's wife. And, considering how the NES Trilogy takes place AFTER the current series...that tells you something about any possible love interests in the current series.

  • 2 people are still playing the atari 2600

  • The whole music in this game is a masterpiece.

  • At the beginning, 0:00 to 0:27, it makes it sound that your going to KICK. SOME. ASS. Oh! So does the rest of the song.

  • Not only the best music but also the Best game!

  • "Jaquio has been defeated"

    "Just as I thought,

    What about the ninja?"

    "He knows nothing yet"

    "Good. Continue the plan"

Hehe, Ashtar is one of my all time favorite game villains, too bad the Jaquio played him.

  • HARD TO BEAT!!!!

  • i think megamanx has beter soundtrack

  • The Drum sounds very damn good for 8 bit technology

    Badass Game and soundtrack

  • @theblackpacomurder it sounds better then music today

  • This music is damn impressive for the draw-backs of the technology!

  • This game has one of the best intros with music to match on the NES. This brings back memories of when I first got the NES! Awesome times!

  • The games and movies now dont care about epicness. I think its the main reason why they are soulless and bad.

  • If you're american dont get offended but, I think alot of videogame series are being dumbed down because of americans most developers seem to think they just wanna kill everything, they dont care about the games feel or the soul as you say...MGS4 fails so bad doesent have that MGS feel to it imo...just an example what wanting to make it even more popular among americans can do to a game.

  • @ShiroKreuz Your absolutely right.

  • @ShiroKreuz

    I totally agree.

    I am American btw.

  • @ShiroKreuz yeah. metal gear solid went from an epic stealth game to a third person run-and-gun cutscene

  • Yeah it literally does not feel like an mgs game, the bosses are fail, it has a bad story, the jumping into different countries is not well done. Its overall a good game but a bad MGS game imo.

  • @ShiroKreuz if it was called something else, it would have been better

  • yea like metal gear fail 4 and ff 13 couldve been final flop 13

  • Yeah it just does not feel like MGS, Ive noticed with everything thats being made next gen the soul of the game suffers because they keep dumbing the games down like mad. this seems to happen to everything now MGS4, FF XIII etc etc

  • @ShiroKreuz That's why I'm glad games like Fire Emblem are on the rise. Radiant Dawn was SPECTACULAR. The difficulty made you question your manliness as a gamer (ESPECIALLY onn Hard), the story was great, the gameplay, etc., etc. Punch-Out!!'s great too, and Super Meat Boy is just pure EPIC. SPIRITBREAKING. WIN.

  • @FloMonKish Soooo trueee

  • @FloMonKish well i think its less that they care its that they try too hard, like these games are so epic, but see all this new shit like sucker punch which just came out, it is supposed to be so 'epic' but they try too hard, these games just nailed it, spot fucking on.

  • Hard to beat!! I love how it says that haha. Not just the difficulty, but the game itself!!

  • cant help but laugh to see how far games/sounds/graphics have come eh? This reminds me of my master system lol

  • newer technology doesn't make a better game.

  • Booya correcto Mundo dude!

  • Amen!

  • I feel sorry for you. If you think graphics are all that make a game. It's true fps's couldn't have been transfered that well on the nes but that has nothing to do with quality of games on either system. How old are you 14?

  • @Luigi84289 I agree people need to understand that its just frustrating to hear people tell you no I want better graphics wtf -_-.

  • @Luigi84289 hell yeah it does, mother fucker

  • @Luigi84289 a design philosophy that makes it more than an incessant trial-and-error endurance contest and whittles away all of the difficulties other than the increase of personal skill.... THAT makes a better game.

The dogmatic nostalgia surrounding the NES Ninja Gaiden installments only cheapens their legacy, and prevents us from appreciating the quality of what is still being made.

  • @MegatronYES mmm.. we can enjoy new games but its also true that games today are so dumbed down that its almost an insult . yes ninja gayden sigma/black etc are hard but but didnt care about the epic music/cutscnes and drama... again . games today aim to larger audiences giving away development and "uniqueness". edit: sorry for my english :P

  • @MegatronYES The only game to catch my attention these days is the new Mortal Kombat. Purer games are better experience on the whole because they deliver what they are designed to and don't distract you with a plethora of visuals. You either get good at the game or you don't beat it. There is not much trial and error in ninja gaiden it's about speed and precision. I got to 4-2 my first time playing the original before I died. You just have to keep moving. Castlevania = more t & e.

  • Hell yeah Spellcaster and Miracle warrior are still two favorites of mine

  • This reminds of NES because this game is a classic NES game and Master System had worse sound

  • Yea this one classic !

1 of a few game that i keep playing again over and over ... (by emulator my NES is long gone)

I got NG2 Arrange Album which i think its the best of them all (with female vocal)

  • Yea Classic ! the only classic game that i keep playing over and over !

Now played by emulator lol my NES is long gone ..

I have the NinjaGaiden Arrange Album !

i think this one best them all : "01-inspirated-friend-s-field-female-vocal-version"

  • I love this music...

  • Classic!

  • my god.. classic!

    haha

the riffs i hear in here are repeated in a coupleof songs I think or very similar sounding ones..
