I love this song I loved charlie in bsted but I think its awesome that he decided to make the change to fighstar and its awesome that james and matt moved on to if charlie wouldn;t have moved on we would have heard his amazing singing in this type of music

Matt created his own band thing, they moved on. I have their CD's stuck up on my wall, Busted's. I did and still love them. But Fightstar are good. Very good. All music is aimed at a target audience, it's just tall poppy syndrome to look down on bands who make a billion dollars making pop music. The lyrical content isn't usually amazing, but 12-16 year-olds generally don't care as much about deep lyrics as the poppy sound of these bands; which, as much as just about every rock fan ever would contest, isn't as easy as it looks.
It's so pathetic actually that even six years after Busted's break-up people still argue if Charlie's better in Busted or Fightstar, clearly forgetting that it was him who chose to join Fightstar in the first place ... and I'm damn sure he had his reasons. So stfu and listen to his new choice of music (... or don't do anything) instead of whining around

Hell, I still listen to Busted songs even now! XD Fightstar are great, but what some people seem to forget is that without the stepping stone of Busted, Charlie may not have become the great musician he is now and Fightstar may not exist. Fightstar owe a lot of their success to Busted :)

What we have here is a case of two bands being influenced by Radiohead and combining nu-metal/hard rock elements to the sound. The drop D tuning in this track gives the illusion that it's 'rocking harder' than Radiohead, but this is clearly not the case as Radiohead have songs that are far rockier than this track. Also the chords in Floods and Newborn are very similar to the ones found in Radioheads Letdown

He wanted to write different music, stuff that he couldn't write in Busted. So please, take that comment, shove it back wherever it came from, and realize that Charlie never was a poser. The fact that Charlie used to be in Busted has nothing to do with this song, I completely agree, personally I think Busted were better but everyone that is calling Busted shit obviously never grew up. I grew up listening to them & I still think they were pretty good everyones entitled to their own opinion, at least Charlie isnt being funny about it, without Busted he wouldnt of been as successful, and I genuinely do hope they reform one day, but as for now I think we should just bury the hatchet

It almost seems obvious.

Charlie is an amazingly talented (and extremely good looking) musician.
Yes, Charlie used to be in Busted. Great, we all know that, but he isn't anymore.
He is in Fightstar, ok? Busted are never going to re-form. I have nothing against Busted, I used to love them, when i was like..8.
So if you want to go on about how you miss Busted or whatever, go on their videos or shut the fuck up.
The rest of us are here to listen to some good music....and possibly stare at his beautiful face :L

@TheHawkandCat He turned down that amount of money because he wanted to be respected as a musician, not a drone of mainstream society, creating songs with no meaning in order to make a profit. His new solo album defiantly reflects this, the demo being released on a charity website with all proceeds going to cancer. The lyrics and talent within this album shows a true, raw form of charlie simpson, not a synthetic one shown within busted, now leave and stop trying to defend a fake, shocking band.

Charlie always said that Busted made him learn that you can have all the money in the world, but it doesn't mean you're going to be happy.

@TheHawkandCat I loved bused, I was possibly one of thier biggest fans I went to eveyr tour they put on. I have a aloty of thier merchandise. But like a alot of peopel I grew up and my music inerest changed... So it is really a matter of opinion :)

@ChArLiE9321 Busted weren't an embarrassment to music- they played music for teenagers. All music is aimed at a target audience, it's just tall poppy syndrome to look down on bands who make a billion dollars making pop music. The lyrical content isn't usually amazing, but 12-16 year-olds generally don't care as much about deep lyrics as the poppy sound of these bands; which, as much as just about every rock fan ever would contest, isn't as easy as it looks.

@blakeberger I like Busted AND Fightstar and The All American Rejects. So yeah, I totally agree. I was upset when they split up but I've moved on now, and I like the bands for their music, not holding silly little grudges against them because their members used to be in Busted! XD

@kadajtheremnant Busted were a pretty cool band for their time and generation, all be it maybe a little bit cliche, but they were talented and very funny to watch and listen to. Hell, I still listen to Busted songs even now! XD Fightstar are great, but what some people seem to forget is that without the stepping stone of Busted, Charlie may not have become the great musician he is now and Fightstar may not exist. Fightstar owe a lot of their success to Busted :)

@bobek3x I wasn't judging anything on my previous post I was merely presenting the facts. What we have here is a case of two bands being influenced by Radiohead and combining nu-metal/hard rock elements to the sound. The drop D tuning in this track gives the illusion that it's 'rocking harder' than Radiohead, but this is clearly not the case as Radiohead have songs that are far rockier than this track. Also the chords in Floods and Newborn are very similar to the ones found in Radioheads Letdown

I live in London and I've only met like 3 other people who have even heard of SIlverchair. Madness!
