  • It's not Kanku-sho or Kanku-dai it's one of Shito-ryu kata Chatanyara-Kushanku and it's based on the Kanku-dai kata of Shotokan-ryu ^^

  • is this kanku sho ?

  • Su-Ba-Ra-Shi-Ne!!!!

    :D

  • nice bunkai i'm speechless. bow

  • this bunkai is great:) i think some of it is realy effective....ofcoure it is a show, but i deffelnly dont think it is compleetly usless

  • if you would analyze the kata properly, some of their moves were out of the kata.but even though, those moves were useful and has meaning.

  • i know there useful, i also know some of the thows and other moves that you showed, ik realy like it, i watch the bunkai allot;)

  • really impressive!! who one tho.....italy or japan?

  • italy won...

  • it,s sweet but a total waste of time, they could be sparring or wrestling,so foolish.not practical at all.

  • Ok kilrkane...in the world of KarateDo we have an event called, Team Kata and Bunkai, different pairs of team will first battle it out in Kata Forms of KarateDo, then the last two pairs who will made to the finals will battle it out in a Kata/Bunkai event in which first they will battle in Kata Forms, then after the Kata the team must show the bunkai or in laymans term application of movements.

  • I'm also a karate-do practitioner now I'm teaching the art here in kuwait, i love it, i dedicate my entire life in karate, i finish my college degree b'coz of it, i want to learn more, thanks for this site,

  • Man your english is very bad!

  • e.g. Kanku Dai(Form) then the bunkai (application) of Kanku Dai. The team that is infavor of the officials wins the tournament.Got it?

  • this practice teaches one to perform in a prescribed manner to a known attack, when in reality combat is far from being choreographed.combat is unpredictable.kata does not teach broken rhythm therefore it is useless for protection.

  • i have been exposed to the world of karate-do,aikido,judo,taekwondo for over 30 years.katas and hyongs are a waste of time.i would rather strike something or throw someone.randori is more practical for me and anyone i teach.

  • That is nice of your you kilrkane to be a martial artist, but in respect to your art,you must also know how to respect and appreciate other arts and forms. If this is way of KarateDo,then let it be.We dont criticize other arts,we appreciate other arts

  • yes kata is good for you but time is money in the martial arts world and i feel better learning and teaching something that may save someones life not spend money on something that doesn,t have a practical application in this dangerous and unpredictable world we live in.
